Was excited to have a Brown's close by as it's a favorite from my youth. The store and lot was clean and the staff was professional and helpful. The flavors that I was missing, was missing. I walked in and ordered 3 wings and a biscuit, didn't wait long but the chicken was bland.

I ordered half a pound of liver and half a pound of gizzards, but the gizzards were undercooked, and the liver was mediocre at best and only a couple of pieces. The fries were cold and felt undercooked on the inside. For $24, the quality was far below what I expected. I won’t be returning to this location, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Also the floor was sticky from what I have no idea."

My chicken livers were horrible I had throw them in the garbage. The were extremely dark, dry and no crispy batter. Don't see how they could given that to anyone. Wouldn't have given it to my dog.

Some of the food was okay but the prices and what I received for said prices was ridiculous. I ordered a small onion ring, which was $3.99 and received only 4 onion rings. The 3 piece wings and biscuit were overcooked and small. Instead of a biscuit, they give you a breadstick, which is not the same. The 2 wings and breast and biscuit was a disappointment as well. The breast was fine but the wings were small and overcooked and came with that dreaded breadstick as well. The chicken tenders were actually good and came with a breadstick too. Needless to say, I will not be going back. I was thoroughly disappointed having spent my hard earned money on such subpar offerings. The people working there were nice. I'll give them that much.

Ordered a half pound of gizzards for $9.38, I had about six small pieces, asked for soft and they were hard. They messed up my order when they first opened and were supposed to replace it, but I never went back until today. The guy said he would add more to my order. Did I say I got about six pieces? lol..The cup of barbecue sauce was half full but it had pieces of in it like it was already used. For me two strikes and you’re out. I won’t be going back
I really was not going to review this place but ..., I came last week, got the special 10pc dark , the chicken look like it was cooked 3 days ago, the batter had all fallen off the chicken , very over cook , very dry, I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED, TO SAY THE LEAST!, The chicken tenders was very good, also the bread sticks, but the fried chicken was NOT Brown's standard, I'm sorry to say,after spend a big chunk of money for what i purchased, 'I won't be back', I will go to the alsip,ill location , I notice it was Not crowded or a steady flow of people there, (that is a bad sign)??? , but, I wish you the best Brown's South Holland , Illinois.

We've been wanting to stop by here for a while and we finally did. I wanted to like the food so bad. Grew up with a Brown's Chicken blocks away and always ate it as a kid. One word: salt!!!!! The food tastes almost like I remember...just unseasoned. That would make a world of difference. Now...I really want them to do well and hope they get better but ya'll have got to do something about the cook. I actually saw him use his gloveless hands to pick up my chicken. I was stunned and immediately told the cashier and they dropped a new order but I have never seen anything like that. I was so excited and to see him do that had me so confused. But they made up for it so I will be back. Just please season the food. Try a little salt on/in everything battered or even salt after frying. It will change the game for ya'll. And train your people please.

Before beginning my review, I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the owner for their recent loss. May you and your family find solace and strength in the memories you shared. Moving forward to the Brown's Chicken review, I must commend their consistent top-tier customer service, which has always been exceptional. I frequently order gizzards and liver for my senior citizen mother, and they are always freshly cooked and perfectly seasoned. While we did encounter a small issue once, they promptly corrected it without any delay. Most recently, I tried their Italian beef, and it was truly beefing, & outstanding. The beef was flavorful, baptized in that delicious au jus, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. I highly recommend trying the Italian beef. My only suggestions for improvement would be for them to consider extending their operating hours and potentially offering margaritas as well.
