I was told about El Jacalito's burrias (sp?),(like a spicy shelled taco..?) 2 years ago by a great friend. I live out of town; but, I always said that I was going to try them some day...OMG! They are wonderful. You will love them. We go during the early afternoon. It is a huge, perfectly decorated decor. Very quiet at this time. But, I can imagine it is extremely busy with a festive atmosphere at the dinner hour. Great place.
Food was very good. It was my first time there so I got a wide variety of items. Everything was good. The tamales were good, but nothing special. I was expecting a little more in the tamales. They were just so so average at best. Chips and dip were dynamite
Food was a little on the bland side. Waitress was great. I was there around noon on 4/18. Can't remember her name but made sure we had what we needed and was very curious. I love the atmosphere. Great decor. Perhaps some soft music in the back ground though.
