La Poblanita Mexican Cuisine

I placed an order on Uber eats for a hefty 100+ order and the restaurant waited until the first uber driver got to the restaurant and waited for my food for a few minutes all for the restaurant to finally call me and say they didn't have one of my dishes. So I replaced it. And waited and waited. The second uber driver waited and waited and even inquired about the order on my behalg and they gave him an attitude. Won't be ordering from them again. Bad service.

Food is always good. My favorite is the caldo en su jugó. Size is great. I never finish it. I always end up taking the rest home. Typically if you reheat this dish it can become very salty. However I never encounter this experience from this place.

Tacos, you have the choice of hand made tortilla. The salsa is also hand made. Very good.

My husband and I have been searching for a reliable Mexican spot ever since we moved closer to South Elgin nearly four years ago. We've had our fair share of disappointments when it comes to quality and consistency of various establishments. I came across La Poblanita on DoorDash and decided to give it a try since I pass by it on my commute. I'm so glad I did, it was absolutely delicious.

The chicken is high quality, the portions are generous, and the corn tortillas are homemade. We ordered again today for pickup, and once again, we were thoroughly impressed. So far, we've tried the chicken, al pastor, and chile relleno, and each one has been full of flavor and super satisfying.

Our toddler, who is a devoted quesadilla fan, devoured their chicken quesadilla and even signed for more. He won’t touch the homemade ones I make anymore, and honestly, I don’t blame him. That alone should tell you how good this place is.

We're thrilled to have finally found a solid go to Mexican joint. La Poblanita has definitely earned us as regulars.
