We LOVE this place. Been coming here for years and it’s definitely my go to in all of Chicago. Nothing compares. But I will say if possible please try to create a kids menu, with like chicken teriyaki, fried rice, potsticker kind of thing! We always take our little ones and it’s always so pricey to buy the whole entree plus our sushi rolls and it would be nice to have a kids meal with a bit of everything for the picky younger ones. Just a suggestion!!! :)

I really liked the interior from the moment I walked in, and it felt good to feel the warm hospitality of the staff. I ordered steamed monkfish, and it was really delicious because it was spicy yet light and the seafood ingredients were fresh. The appetizers of porridge, fried shrimp, fried squid, steamed egg, boiled pork(?), and mattang were good and not too overpowering~~~ I also liked the fried rice. A taste that suits you! The servers are also very kind. They also took the leftover food and packaged it for me. I was touched that they even included napkins. I highly recommend this place~~♡

Such a great restaurant! I ordered the Unagi Don which came with so much eel. We also received miso soup and salad which was very nice. The teriyaki salmon bento box was very tasty as well. I’d also recommend the steamed gyoza. Service was fantastic and our server was very attentive

This place has the freshest, best Korean style raw fish I've ever had. Unfortunately they did not have the fluke this time, but the assorted sashimi is great as well. Not only is the quality of the seafood really fresh, but all the hot dishes are cooked to perfection as well, both the appetizers on the Korean course menu and the Japanese menu. It is quite honestly the best Sushi/Hoe resturaunt I've ever been to in this area. It's expensive but you pay for quality.

Such a hidden gem! Food was excellent and service was quick, professional and place is very clean! Definitely a worthwhile spot for date night! Tried the spider and King Kong rolls along with Korean kirashi. +Miso soup was spot on!
It was my first visit and I was blown away, the dark atmosphere was pretty chill, good drinks, good and fast service, the most important was the food and it was full of flavor!! I highly recommend this spot!

Fresh ingredients every time! The Crab Rangoon was so good! The Chirashi sushi bowl had a generous serving of thick sliced sashimi with just the right amount of seasoning on the rice. The dinner bento is always a favorite, normally we order chicken teriyaki but this time we got the Chicken katsu dinner bento and it did not disappoint. Minami is the number one pick for our family celebrations. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a place to eat.
