Absolutely fantastic tamales at modest prices. I don't get to the greater Chicago area often, but these were so good that I will search this place out the next time I am in town.Delicious!

New tamale store in Summit opened a couple of weeks ago, very exciting! Street parking is available on Archer in front of the store. Restaurant is clean, and is more spacious than it appears from the outside. A few tables are available if you prefer to eat in. I ordered at the counter, service was prompt. Isela's appears to be a family business, bilingual help was at the counter. The tamales were good, chicken verde was quite picante. All were flavorful, I did not detect any fatty or gristly bits. Prices are moderate.
