Just wow.

I am Puerto Rican and love all Latin American foods. However, I have had El Salvadoran food very infrequently.

I was at an event at Summit and I’ve always walked passed this place, but it has been closed. Today, I decided to go even though there was a decent line.

While it did take a while, I do not care. I will always wait for the food I was given.

The pupusas were absolutely delicious. The chicken had so much flavor, the masa was perfect and the salad served with it increased the flavor even more. The pastels con papa y queso reminded me of Puerto Rican food a bit. The papas were seasoned perfectly and also just a perfect dish.

I’m hooked! I will definitely be back :)

This is a hidden gem. It is a small family owned restaurant that is seasonal with no seating inside the restaurant. The lady that makes the popusas is the one that takes orders and prepares them, so be patient. You can hear her making them fresh and they taste authentic. The spicy red sauce is amazing, loved it! The tamales de elotes are moist and really good, along with the popusa de Pollo and frijol, queso, y loroco. The beans are the traditional type and taste of el Salvadors, one of my favorite type of beans.

It was my dad's birthday and she let us try the Salvadoran horchata and a tamal de elote.

Thank you again!

They have the best Pupusas I've found in and around Chicago. It's a small place but don't let appearances fool you - the best is inside! The lady works alone but everything is prepared fresh and to order. I loved the bean pupusas with cheese, corn tamales and the fries. There are also hamburgers and cheese cheetos!! The prices are very reasonable and the lady is a sweetheart! Very kind

Parking: It's in the summit park district and there is a baseball field across from it

Every time I visit the Summit park with my son I have to get to eat a popusa or corn because it is so delicious and eating it outdoors is much better! I love
