I normally come here for the coffee but I was hungry today. I got the Courhouse Blues and it was excellent. Shawn is a great person and owner. Thank you for the suggestion for Rainforest Carmel Crunch. Can't wait till the morning to try it.

We are new to Cortland, from Elgin, and had a taste for bagels. Trying to find something similar to our beloved Big Apple Bagels which we had become accustomed to. We tried another local DeKalb shop recently and it did not hit the spot, so this time we decided to try Shawns. We are really happy with our choice! Shawn and his staff were very attentive and pleasant. The breakfast bagels (I had a ham and cheddar on a sesame bagel, hubby had bacon, egg and cheese on plain) were fantastic! I took home an Everything bagel with olive cream cheese, cause I had to try the cream cheese, and it was also very good. The coffee was spot on and nice and hot. I'd love to go back to try the homemade soup and a lunch sandwich next time. We really enjoyed our breakfast a couple weeks ago and will definitely go back.

This place is as old as the hills. Needs a major upgrade. Great location but apparently owner doesn't care. Uses Styrofoam cups for coffee and other hot drinks.Bad for environment and also not the best for taste of coffee.

First of all I would love to say that the staff was a amazing and warm. Food was fresh and tasted great! Special shout to Fidela for being so nice I recieved a ticket i didn't have cash and she gave me a dollar to pay my fine if your in Sycamore I highly recommend you stop by. You won't be disappointed!!!!
