Great place to eat, food is amazing. Best chicken i ever had. I recommend the papa bird platter. And the owner is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He likes to interact with his customers when he has time and makes you feel welcome.
The wrecking balls are our personal favorite and a top 5 appetizer of all time! The onion rings are excellent and a full order is plenty for the entire table. The "filthy burger", "filthy nacho" and the giant pork tenderloin sandwich are all fantastic and the piggy Mac is amazing. Never had an item there that we didn't enjoy. There's not a lot of seating, so we usually try to go outside of peak hours, but it's worth the wait if there is one.
Parking: It really depends on the time of day you go, off peak hours there is plenty of parking.
Kid-friendliness: Although they don't specifically cater to children, there is nothing offensive or inappropriate that should prevent a great family dining experience. There are plenty of kid friendly items on the menu that are delicious. The Mac and cheese is phenomenal!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Was craving some fried chicken and decided to give Dirty Bird a try. It was absolutely fantastic! Nice clean, casual restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had the fried mushroom appetizer (FRESH mushrooms battered and fried, DELICIOUS) 2 piece dark fried chicken dinner and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Food came out fast considering it was fresh made. The house hot sauce was flavorful, the fried chicken had a thin batter that melted in your mouth. Prices: 2 adults had full meals, 2 fountain drinks and shared half size appetizer: Bill was under $50 which in this economy was a steal. We left FULL and even had to take some to go. So happy to find this gem. We look forward to returning soon. It will be our new go to when we're craving REAL fries chicken.

My first time to the dirty bird. It was recommended by my friend that lives in Sycamore. He have always raved about the giant pork tenderloin sandwich. We started with the Appetizer Combo. The app was a very large portion of food for sure. The problem was everything was very similar in taste and just dripping of oil. I ordered the giant pork tenderloin sandwich and it was giant for sure but was very oily / greasy with not much flavor other than oily flavor like the app combo. All in all very disappointing. Another person at the table ordered the Filthy Burger and I got a taste of the Pulled Pork and it was very goodand the fries had great flavor also. I was very disappointed that all the deep fried items all tasted the same, not good. The pork tenderloin was very thin, and dripping with oil. I think I would like to try something with the Pulled Pork next time because it had a very good smoke flavor and maybe I should try the Saturday Ribs some time. I have the feeling the deep fried items just isn't their Forte!

We came for lunch & enjoyed the food very much. I had the 1/2 fried chicken, which was juicy, fresh & delicious! There was no coating, just a crisp skin. My husband had the huge pork tenderloin, which he enjoyed. We had fried pickles, which were great, fried mushrooms were good & wrecking balls which has good flavor, texture and also good. Our waitress was very friendly and really on top of it. Not a long wait, plenty of seating & friendly. We'll definitely be back.

It was relatively busy, but our server seemed unusually slow & inattentive. My husband loves their huge pork tenderloin sandwich. My son enjoys the chicken. I've had the chicken & the pollock and they are ok. If you love fried food or burgers, this is the place for you! It has a warm homey ambiance. Generally servers are friendly & attentive.
The chicken is delicious. They have added many other items to the menu. We had a sample of brisket, it was very good. One of the best places to eat in Sycamore.
