We rode our bikes uptown Sycamore and wanted a healthy bite for lunch. We were super happy when we stopped by The Village Restaurant and met the owner, Jean, a sincere and kind person! The chicken and pork skewers were delicious and cooked perfectly. Another "surprise and delight" for us was the homemade tzatziki sauce—oh my!!! Jean recommended her homemade Greek avgolemono soup... this lemon chicken cream soup gets an A+! Water infused with lemon and cucumber was...

Found this place on line and have to whole heartedly agree with other reviews. Food was excellent and decor is perfect! Clean, airy and well decorated. Good sized portions make it a great value. We will be back. Really hope this place succeeds.

I went today for the first time and everything was so good! The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was fresh and good. The portions were perfect. I appreciate that they have lunch specials. I will be back for sure!
