The only complaint I have is that I didn't come here sooner. This hidden gem is located in my hometown of Edgington, IL. It's a small town with one restaurant and one gas station, but lots of small town charm. This family owned restaurant is fairly new to the community, and I had to try it at least once before I left town. I wish I tried it multiple times to try many of their dishes. I had the taco salad and lunch combo of a taco, beef enchilada, and rice. Everything was amazing and fresh. The edible taco bowl was not old and stale like in some other restaurants. Also, our server Alexander brought us complimentary chips and salsa which were also very good. The atmosphere is very aesthetic with a Mexican decor. They have happy hour and drink specials. My family who lives in the town eat here occasionally and have only good things to say also. I will definitely be back on every visit I make back here to Edgington.

Best Mexican food I have ever had! Very clean environment. Service was amazing, they are fast and polite. This place is very underrated!! BEST Mexican food you will ever have, and a clean environment makes it even better! 10/10.

Everything is good

Had the best margarita at El Barril today. Also tried the street tacos and the steak burrito, will definitely be going again might honestly be my new favorite Mexican restaurant. They were very timly when it came to ordering and getting my food out to the table, couldnt even finish the chips and salsa before the food came out they were that fast. Five out of five stars

Wonderful Mexican restaurant! Try Anything with their carnitas. So good! Glad to have a Mexican restaurant so close by. Once we found this place, we don’t go anywhere else. Love it!
