I went there for dinner, it looked like a nice place. They had a nice special for a 12oz Ribeye. Unfortunately, after about 10 minutes, I never got a waitress or waiter to stop by to get my drink order, much less take my food order. So I just left. The first time this has ever happened to me, and as you can see by my posts, I eat out everywhere.

I’m not sure if I’ve eaten at Capponis. I grew up in Minonk, IL. I remember my Dad would take me to Monas as a little kid and it was a big deal. I remember my Mom buying the frozen sauce and tortellini at the store to make at home. I drove an hour and 45 minutes from Chatham IL to relive the experience. I got the fried chicken and Tortellini, it tasted just like I remember. Service was excellent. The story of those two places tastes just as good as the food does! I will be back, God willing.

My family has been coming here for special occasions for 3 generations. The food is repeatedly amazing. No matter what day, or how busy the orders are always perfect. Special requests are managed perfectly, and the servers are professional and confident. Truly masters of their profession. Reservations are not required, but you will benefit if you have them.
