Funky Java Coffee House

based on reviews, we expected it to be a more friendly experience, but it ended up being not a very welcoming space. as we walked in, my siblings and i got a lot of stares and felt very out of place. the coffee wasn’t too great as well, i wouldn’t recommend.

Super cute place and great coffee! The gentleman who helped me was very kind and informative. Would have loved to have a coffee shop like this in the area when I was young. Keep up the awesome work!!

Go here immediately!! Funky Java Coffee House is just the boost you need in your day!! The owner, Larry, is phenomenal. He always treats me like a person, not just a customer. He asks me about my buisness, hangs up my buisness cards, shows me pictures of his pets (I'm a petsitter). Absolutely wonderful.

His drinks are maybe not as flashy as Starbucks but they are good with tons of options. I'm avoiding dairy so he has the almond, soy and I think oat milk. He remembers my order too although I typically only make it there once or twice a month.

Such a wonderful person, and he allows dogs inside too! Although he typically doesn't sell food there is a bakery next door and a deli. I definitely go out of my way to go here, always worth it.

Mom & Pop small business purveyor Larry was a delight this morning when he served me up a Chilled Mocha Latte with my next door Kuppie's Bakery Donuts. Felt like an Andy Griffith experience. I will be back!

They take cards now. Awesome place to work, chill, pick up a guitar , start a painting or whatever you want. This is a must visit and great alternative to the usual.

I’ve been wanting to visit for a while now and today I finally got a chance…and I was not disappointed! I only wish I had come in sooner. The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming, and those inside were enjoying themselves and many seemed to know one another. The man who helped us greeted us warmly and thanked us for supporting small businesses before recommending the “square almond thingy” from next door’s bakery. I definitely appreciated a recommendation (that is a fabulous choice to go with your coffee from Funky Java! If you’re an iced/cold drink fan, I recommend the iced latte with almond milk, but I can guarantee any milk type will also make you happy.

I can’t wait to make my visits a common ritual. Don’t miss out like I did for too long!!

Cute coffee shop! Very nice owner/barista and great funky atmosphere.We were impressed with the coffee (amazing cappuccino!), and it didn't have the sour third-wave taste that we're personally not a fan of.
