I stopped in for a meatball sandwich and instantly had to grab a second one—it was that good! I also tried the “It’s Me Mario” sandwich, and both were absolutely exquisite. The hospitality here is warm and sincere, which makes the experience even better.
On top of the incredible sandwiches, they offer amazing sweets—the lemon and chocolate chip cookies are a must-try. Villa Park truly has a new gem, and I’m all for it. 10/10 recommend!

Was in the neighborhood stopped in for sandwich, I had their take on an Italian sub the It's A Me great Sammi was something different cuts were fresh and came with a pistachio spread that was out of this world and staff real friendly.

Food is awesome and love the atmosphere. I go here to escape the real world for about an hour or so. Great people. This has a nicely manicured boutique feel to it. Not your traditional grease ball Italian deli which I do love, but this is more like having a great sandwich in a spa type atmosphere. I can get away and have a great sandwich in a relaxed quiet clean atmosphere. Meatballs are awesome and the pistachio cream spread is a must have that takes a good sandwich and elevates it to a great sandwich. Thank you Mortadeli. I will be back real soon.

I’ve been eager to try Mortadeli since it first opened, and after hearing so many rave reviews, I finally had the chance to stop by for lunch yesterday. Let me tell you, everything everyone says about this place is spot on! First off, the food is absolutely delicious. Everything on the menu is so tempting, it was hard to choose, but I went with the meatball sub and pasta salad. As someone whose grandmother made the best meatball sandwiches, my expectations were high – but Mortadeli’s version did not disappoint! It was fantastic. The pasta salad was also amazing, fresh, and perfectly seasoned.
The atmosphere at Mortadeli is incredibly inviting – it strikes the perfect balance between classy and cozy. The staff are very friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about making your experience special. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff and quick delivery of our food. One of the owners even took the time to chat with us a bit.
Another pleasant surprise was the parking – I had my doubts at first, but we found a spot just around the corner with no problem at all. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I’ll definitely be back. Mortadeli is a must-visit!
