Ordered almost $40 worth of food and I am severely disappointed to say the least. Inside the restaurant smells like a burning chemical smell and the food was overcooked. Also, rice tasted like the chemical smell inside of the establishment. I will never order from this place ever again.. If you can get Nando’s over this GET NANDOS!! Or anything besides this place.

I’ve given this location multiple chances and the quality is consistently disappointing. The garlic sauce and hot sauce were both so watery that they literally tasted like flavored water. I couldn’t even enjoy the food because it felt like I was dipping everything in water instead of sauce.
What makes it worse is the attitude from the staff whenever you bring up an issue. Instead of acknowledging the problem, they act defensive and rude. At least admit when something is wrong instead of acting like the customer is the issue.
The other locations are honestly much better, so I’d recommend going there instead of here. The owner seriously needs to step up and start caring about quality control and customer service because this place keeps going downhill.

Very disappointing experience at Port of Peri Peri. The food was not fresh and was served cold. On top of that, both the garlic sauce and red sauce were extremely watery. When we asked about it, the staff said it was because the sauces were made today which honestly made no sense and is not the customer’s problem. Freshly made sauces should not be watery or poor quality.
This is not the first time either; they seem to consistently serve cold food. Overall, poor food quality. I would not recommend this location.

I used to frequent the Aurora location, then I moved and realized my gluten intolerance. Decided to try this location again and requested a lettuce wrap instead of a bun for my favorite sandwich The Sizzler. They were nice to accommodate my request and it was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend

Had me a chicken thing it was good.....surprisingly good. Sauce too!!!! Joint had sticky feel to it, tho..... not grimy but not spotless either. Best of luck!!!

Everything is fresh and cooked to order, which you can really taste. The chicken came out hot, juicy, and perfectly grilled with that nice char flavor you want from peri-peri. Nothing felt pre-made or sitting around — they clearly make it when you order.
The service was fast and super friendly too. Staff was welcoming, helpful with recommendations, and kept things moving quickly even during busy time.
The real stars though are the sauces: • 🌶️ Medium spicy peri-peri sauce – perfect heat level with tons of flavor • 🧄 Garlic sauce – creamy, rich, and absolutely addictive
Get both on the side — trust me, you’ll want extra for dipping everything.
Overall: great food, quick service, and amazing flavor. Highly recommend if you’re craving fresh, flavorful grilled chicken done right.

The quality, preparation, & seasoning of the chicken is above any other “fast food” place anywhere around. The rice, corn, and thick cut Cole slaw our three spectacular side dishes that can be ordered alone and stand on their own as well. Now I understand why other people I know (in the restaurant business )are trying to get the franchise with this place because the food is just far above anything else out there. I prefer mild spices, Which this place does perfectly.. I don’t often write reviews about fast food chicken places, This place deserves 10 stars on a five star scale.
