Ordered wings and sandwich. Chicken wings did not have good taste. Not tendered. Texture was like it was left over from previous day. Also the bread was extra hard to chew. Have been going to different locations of Peri. Never had complaint.

The quality, preparation, & seasoning of the chicken is above any other “fast food” place anywhere around. The rice, corn, and thick cut Cole slaw our three spectacular side dishes that can be ordered alone and stand on their own as well. Now I understand why other people I know (in the restaurant business )are trying to get the franchise with this place because the food is just far above anything else out there. I prefer mild spices, Which this place does perfectly.. I don’t often write reviews about fast food chicken places, This place deserves 10 stars on a five star scale.

What an amazing first experience at Port of Peri Peri! A huge part of that was thanks to Rasha.

As a first-timer, I was a little unsure about the heat levels of the sauce. Rasha was super patient and took the time to understand my preference. She expertly recommended a combination of sauces that was an absolute PERFECT match for what I wanted. Her knowledge and helpfulness truly made the meal.

I ordered the chicken and rice bowl with Peri Peri chicken tenderloins and the spicy yellow basmati rice. The chicken was cooked flawlessly, and the sauce combo Rasha put together was a game-changer. The rice was flavorful with just the right amount of kick.

The atmosphere was relaxed and mellow, and the entire staff was friendly and attentive. This was a 10/10 experience from start to finish. I will definitely be returning. Thanks again, Rasha

Very good chicken and ribs blended and glazed with the Peri Peri sauce. Very clean and good customer service. The dining area is cozy and very well designed.
Enjoyed the time with family and friends. Nice praying room.
Should be on your eatery list while visiting Chicago.

We visited Port of Peri Peri in Villa Park, and the experience was disappointing. There were no plates or cutlery on the table, and we had to request them. We ordered a whole chicken with rice and two sandwiches — the sandwiches and rice arrived first, but the chicken came after a long wait.

We also ordered another whole chicken to go, but only received two white sauces, which wasn’t sufficient for four people. Overall, the food was decent, but the service and attention to detail need significant improvement.

The manager rasha and pasha cussed me out because I found a bug in my chicken rice bowl! Don’t come to the villa park location unless you want to be harassed

One reason I prefer Peri Peri is that the chicken is grilled, not fried. Sauce is always great and this outlet has everything #halal. The amount of chicken in the burger was very reasonable. The staff was very courteous.

I had a very disturbing experience at this restaurant. Upon entering the bathroom, I saw an employee washing his feet in the sink. He then attempted to take my order at the front counter while wearing a wet shirt.

When I brought this to the manager’s attention, she dismissed my concerns, told me it was for prayer, and rudely asked if we had a problem with that. She offered no apology, acted as if this was acceptable behavior, and even yelled at us, saying she didn’t need our money, before walking into the kitchen.

This is unacceptable in a food establishment, both for health and professionalism. The behavior from management was shockingly inappropriate and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety.

I used to go here a lot back when it was still called Porto’s Peri Peri, and it was honestly one of my favorite spots. The food was flavorful, consistent, and the customer service was excellent. Unfortunately, since the rebrand to Port of Peri Peri, things have gone downhill.

Today we ordered 2 family packs, and I was shocked at how much the quality has dropped while prices have gone up significantly. The food was nowhere near what it used to be—bland, poorly prepared, and just not worth the cost. It’s disappointing to see how far this place has fallen, and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they start shuttering stores at this rate.

Definitely not the same place it once was, and sadly, I won’t be coming back.

We went for lunch and took a whole chicken. The chicken was not even warm. And it tasted like it was frozen for a long long time and it has a smell. So we complained and asked if they could change the chicken and give us a hot one. The staff in the front called the supervisor and he came and straight away started arguing with us that he wont change it,he can only re-heat the chicken so we said this chicken is not smelling right then the arrogant supervisor pulled the religion trigger and asked us if our religion permits us to waste food!!!!!!
We wondered if his religion permits him to serve bad rotten cold food to customers and do business like this? He was literally shouting with us. We were shocked at his behavior!!!!
We just left the place because we were disgusted by their service. They did refund the money tho.
But this is extremely bad customer service and food quality a restaurant can serve. This is how a business loses its popularity and customer.
Extremely disappointed!!!!
Will never go back there again!!!!
