Breakfast and lunch were both great. Soft serve after hit the spot
The food and service here are usually good, which is why I typically rate it 4 stars. Today, however, I had an experience that was truly frustrating. I ordered decaf and asked for heavy cream. The waitress initially said they didn't have it. I asked her to check with the kitchen, as I find it hard to believe any breakfast spot doesn't. heavy cream She came back and said the owner confirmed they didn't have any. Moments later, I asked for the soup list. The first item? Cream of Chicken with Rice. This is unacceptable. It’s either outright refusal or misinformation to tell a customer you have no heavy cream while actively serving cream-based soup. What a load of crap.

I used to really enjoy coming to this place for breakfast and lunch, but unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill over the past few months. The food, which was once fresh and flavorful, now tastes rushed and inconsistent. Portions have gotten smaller, and several menu items that were once favorites seem poorly prepared or overcooked.
The service has also declined noticeably. Host/hostess used to be friendly and attentive, but now it often feels like they’re overwhelmed or disinterested.
The. Ream of. Chicken and rice was so good. I also had their chicken salad sandwich, loved it.
It was ok but the skirt steak is the 1/2 cut size not the full. I'm a steak connoisseur and I asked specifically was told yes its the full skirt but it wasn't

Rude Manager I was quite disappointed at him in the past management and staff has always been super friendly I got off work my daughter and grandson stop for dinner to my surprise the ribs were very tuff I could not eat it I asked if it could be changed for a chicken breast well the rib and chicken combo was 21.69 and the chicken dinner was 19.99 when I checked out I only tried to point it out to the manager he got very spicy about it and raised his temperature not sure what that was all about but it is quite okay maybe we African American should watch our boundaries it is okay we will no better next time the waitress was awesome nevertheless I felt really horrible on the inside but I got it.
Simon’s Restaurant & Bakery in Villa Park greets you with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I tried their Cream of Rice Soup, and wow—it was pure comfort in a bowl! Creamy, flavorful, and loaded with rice, it’s the perfect way to kick off your meal. For breakfast, I had the Spinach and Feta Omelette with crispy hashbrowns, and it did not disappoint. The omelette was fluffy, packed with fresh spinach and tangy feta cheese, and cooked to perfection. Paired with golden, crispy hashbrowns, it was an absolute treat! Simon’s is a neighborhood gem where you can count on great food, friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or just a pastry from their bakery, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!

Being of a certain age, we do enjoy a good "Greek" type restaurant.... You know good soups salads portions etc--- the ambiance was contemporary chic--- a pleasant experience. Loved the soups - split pea and creamy chicken rice --- but the entrees ie breakfast were just ok. The Benedict sauce was chunky w no flavor - and the breakfast sampler just didn't stand out much. All in all for the usual 15- per it could've been better with a little care put in their cookin'
Food is always amazing! I had the ham and cheese omelette and the hash browns were actually crunchy on the outside, just the way I like themThe amount of food you get is well worth the price! If you have a choice, always go for the soup. I've never been disappointed.
