I had the taco Morelos he had fajitas. We loved our food. The rice and beans were so tasty. Service was great and the food was so fresh and hot! We enjoyed the heated salsa w our chips.
My first job was working at this restaurant 10 years ago in Cicero. Amazing how much it’s changed. The owners are very humble. The food is amazing. Everything is 100% authentic, recipes are straight from Morelos, Mexico, which happens to be my hometown as well. This place is so underrated. They have the best tacos al pastor (my go to). None of that greasy, over marinated stuff that other restaurants give out 😷 I definitely recommend. It’s a hidden gem
Good carnitas and carne tacos . But when it comes to a platillo/ dinner Tampiquena. Is supposed to be a skirt good quality meat not taco meat . The cook doesn’t know how grill or simmer the meat . This place is just a food fast restaurant with good tacos and tortas . Not to be considered a Mexican restaurant. If you are looking for a good tampiquena go to Mi Tierra on Kenzie in Chicago.
