Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

Dinner at Lakewood IL Lou's and everything was wonderful. Started with calamari and salad, which the calamari is amazing here and always have to order it. House made dressings are always delicious. For pizza went for the gold standard Lou's Classic and it made it to our table right from the oven. Waitress was upbeat, friendly and very attentive. Only negative is the lights above the booths are like tanning lamps. Everyone's faces were hot and red by the time we left. Considering the temperature outside it was nice for a bit but then was uncomfortable.

Lori was our server and she was outstanding. Very attentive, funny ans engaging. Will ask for her on our next visit.

Food was delicious. Wait staff was very attentive and personable. Amazing dining experience.

We picked up a couple frozen pizzas to take home and when we opened the package, it was half the size it used to be....what happened to the deepdish... totally disappointed

We were excited to celebrate a recent milestone with one of our favorite meals. Decided to try this location rather than our usual sit down location. Had a reservation, arrived early and were seated fairly quickly as the restaurant wasn’t too crowded. Ordered ice waters, soft drinks, Malnati’s salad, thin crust Buffalou chicken pizza, Chicago Classic deep dish, and rounded out our meal with a chocolate chip cookie pizza. Service was good, salad and deep dish were as expected. Buffalou was disappointing — needed more cheese and the chicken was practically non-existent. The cookie pizza had plenty of ice cream and whipped cream to disguise the fact that the cookie was essentially non-existent! The worst part of the entire meal were the beverages. The water tasted like what I imagine toilet water would taste like. It was terrible. We only ordered the soft drinks to help mask the nasty taste but the ice still had a subtle hint of that awfulness. YUCK! So disgusting. It is for that reason alone I will never dine at this location again.

Very slow. Over an hour for our food. One pizza was not hot when we got it. Server did not come by much. One of us wanted to order a beer but the server didn't really come by at all to do so.
