Al's Pizza shares a building with a bar on the other side. I was able to order the pizza right away, and I opted to sit in the bar, though there is seating on the side of the building for pizza. The pizza was brought over to me in the bar area, which was great. Very casual dining with paper plates and plastic ware. Don't expect to order sides, as they don't have any. Al's takes cash and credit, while the bar is cash only.

This is hands-down our favorite thin crust pizza. When we’re not making our own Chicago style deep dish this is the one we want. I just wish they had green olives. Not sure why they don’t.

Update August 22 2025: Went back in today after ordering in phone and got the perfect order this time with no sausage and they honoured their word of giving me free pizza because of last time. Best cheese pizza in the area bar none. Worth a trip.
April 17 2025: The pizza is great, good sauce, great cheese and amazing crust but I could only eat 1 slice as they put sausage in my pizza when I specifically told them no sausage, I had to throw away the whole pizza in trash, 40$ down the drain! Ruined my day. I called them to ask how they messed up my order and they just said to get a free pizza next time.

Sorry to even say this, but absolutely the worst pizza I have ever had. If I could give it a zero I would. I had heard alot of good things and was excited to try it. I picked it up on time. Should have given it back immediately because box was only lukewarm. The pizza was dry, crust was very hard and not much cheese. Ate a couple of pieces and threw the rest away.
Old school Chicago style thin crust. Doesn’t get much better 😋

I tried 3 pizzas: cheese, mushrooms, and all veggies - all of them were excellent. The crust is perfectly crunchy, the cheese is slightly toasted, the sauce is plentiful but not sweet. The veggies were super fresh and crisp. We just loved it!

Was in town for the first time in 10 years. Pizza use to be amazing so I was looking forward to a great pizza. Went in and ordered 4 pizzas. Told it was gonna be 1.5 hrs. I said that’s totally fine, it’s worth the wait. Boy was I wrong. All 4 pizzas I got were very over cooked and the taste was nothing like it used to be. Maybe the group of kids running the place would pay more attention to cooking the pizza instead of sitting behind there work station eating pizza during the busy rush it would have come out looking like a pizza and the cheese not be all burnt. Also while they were eating their pizza, instead of washing their hands I watched 2 people lick there fingers to clean their hands and not one washed their hands. Place isn’t ran nothing like it used to be ran. Sure wish the people who use to run it would come back. It was a waste of 100 dollars and 2 of the pizzas we threw out. So this is what Al’s turned into

This place was awesome, old school pizzeria. Everything made on spot no frozen dough. Fresh ingredients The best pizza I have had in years. My wife brought me here and it is so good. Bar next door works with them to allow drinks in their dining area. The nostalgia on the walls was great to see as well as laugh at. I will make this a stop every time we come this way.
