Our first time dining here and we couldn't have been more pleased. The ambiance is great, service was good and food was delicious. They had live music which was enjoyable and you could still have no problem carrying a conversation easily while also enjoying it. We were celebrating a girlfriend's birthday and she was delighted with everything. Needless to say... we will be back and we will bring others.
Food was great! Love the spinach dip! We did order the filet potstickers and they were cold. Probably waiting on the dip becausethat was nice and hot. Service was good but not great on details. I had to wait for water refills multiple times. No appetizers plates where given. Didn't check back on appetizers, so we just ate the cold potstickers. Needed to ask for new silverware when they took the old used ones. Lobster tail was delivered with no butter and had to wait about 10 minutes to get the server to come back to check on us. The Lobster got cold waiting on the butter. For this kind of place and the money we spent i would have thought the details of service for fine dining could have been a lot better.
The food and service were excellent. Our server Joah made some awesome recommendations based on our preferences!
We had the split crab legs which was an ample amount of crab with no cracking required. We have not found a place that has split crab since Andy's closed down in 1998. The crab and corn bisque was also very good. The chocolate cake for dessert was the perfect end to the evening. The final bill with $125 for each of the crab leg order was a bit steep, but worth it for a perfect evening. We will be back.
Frank was our waiter and was phenomenal. Per usual the steak and desserts were the highlight of the meal but everything was fantastic. My husband splurged for Wagyu and it was buttery and bursting with flavor. The cocktails were also excellent.
We ate at the bar and I felt so bad for the bartender. She had to not only tend bar while wait on all the tables as well, while other servers were standing around and chatting. Service was slow, but not her fault. Once again I ordered a medium temp burger and it came well done. My wife had the prime rib sliders and enjoyed them. We split a grilled salad, which was good.
Lamb chops were outstanding, salad with strawberries &goat cheese also outstanding along with Service and atmosphere. .
Outstanding meal at Eddie Merlot's, our server Rich was amazing and the general manager Frank was warm and welcoming. If you're looking for a steakhouse that truly delivers an unforgettable dining experience, look no further. From the moment I walked in, everything at this place screamed quality — from the warm ambiance and attentive service to the first-rate cuts of meat cooked to absolute perfection. I ordered the wagyu filet, and it was hands-down one of the best filets I've ever had. Juicy, flavorful, and delicious. The seasoning was spot on, letting the natural richness of the beef shine without overpowering it. Every bite melted in my mouth. My husband ordered the tuna which was next level, from the sauce to the jasmine rice, it was well balanced and absolutely perfect. Service was exceptional. Our server Rich was knowledgeable about the menu, checking in just the right amount to make sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling intrusive. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to a great meal, Eddie Merlot's is absolutely worth the visit. It's clear they take pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit.
Very good service and a nice dining experience. The Prime Dine menu provided good value for a weekday meal.
Truly another great experience at Eddie Merlot's . In our opinion this is the best restaurant in the Western Suburbs. Food is outstanding, service great and just the right atmosphere for fine dining. We will definitely be back.

The service is always top notch here along with the food! We came in at 8:30pm and ordered the seafood tower which was delicious! I would also highly recommend the lemon drop martinis! We will be back.
Was very disappointed. Reviews were misleading. Food was mediocre not 5 stars. The waiter knew nothing about wine or food and had to keep asking someone. I spent a great deal of money for my Daughters Engagement dinner for 4 people. We all had wine, cocktails, steak and lobster and appetizers. We were all disappointed.
First impression, the place is beautiful. Spacious and clean. Service was friendly. Lobster roll: lobster meat was good, need flavor. You can tell it came frozen. Bread was warm and soft and tasty. We opted to get fries instead of chips. Fries was seasoned well . Ahi tuna: good portion of tuna on top of wonton. They serve 4 Creme Brûlée: it was delish
Everything tasted amazing!!! There was a gentleman playing a guitar and had it at the level where you can still have a conversation at the table and hear each other. The ambience was perfect. Can't wait to go back.
We had a great afternoon at Eddie Merlots. We have a daughter who has dietary restrictions and not only did the waiter, but the chef went above and beyond to make sure that she had an amazing experience and good food. Our waiter Frank was amazing. He was very attentive and made sure that we had a great Father's Day afternoon. If I had to say something it would be that we ordered a salad to split, and the dishes that were pre-served to us were extremely small. And when my husband got his second cocktail, it was definitely smaller than the first one. But overall, it was definitely a great afternoon and the steak was amazing.
