The fell off big time on the steak and eggs, plain no seasoning, chicken breast salad nasty, veggies old on the salad.. than the waiter I had don't know that the customer is always right

Had to get up and leave after waitress threw 2 menus at us (there were 3 of us) without a second glance gave us a horrible attitude when asking for our order a minute later, when I told her I didn't have a menu she yelled that they were there, horrible attitude.
I've been going to this restaurant since the 90's, and they have lost a customer now, hostess bus boys are great have never had an issue with them but this waitress needs to be retrained before you lose more customers

One of my favorite places to eat in Waukegan food is excellent staff is wonderful so many year's of great memories eating here!!! ❤️

Been coming to this restaurant with my family since I was a kid. I'm 36 now. Service has never changed and food is still so good. Definitely feels like a homecooked meal every time I come to visit Waukegan.

Came into the restaurant to order food and was told that the restaurant was closing in five minutes when there was a decent crowd dining in. Online it said that the restaurant was closing at 7pm. I was there at 6:30 pm. I was told that the restaurant was closing in five minutes.

I wish I could give a full review as I was looking forward to eating here but when we get to the restaurant just after 6pm on Friday, they were closed. Hours need to be updated on Google and their website.

This is our favorite spot to eat for over 20 years. Food is excellent quality, the salads are as fresh as you get.
Parking on busy days (Sunday for example) is a bit hard to find but you pretty much can get a parking spot at any time.

Let me tell you about what happened, I have gone to this establishment for as long as I can remember. I went to have some lunch today with my dad just to go down memory lane, boy were we in for a treat. Our food was cold and while trying to enjoy each others company a child at the next table chucked a piece of fruit they were eating and landed right dab in the middle of our table. I decided to share my insight so my waitress Gia was very kind and understanding. The host Jessica however seemed very unprofessional and dismissive. I explained the food was cold and was met with belligerent accusations I shared I had no issue with the payment I was informing them of the food. Martha the owner insisted I leave without paying. Of course I would NEVER do such a thing. So after paying, I simply shared how it was uncalled for and rude not the service I was expecting from this establishment. Maybe they had a bad day either way maybe go down the street in Zion ..☹️
