It was an ok experience, I had gone later in the evening so the food would of been fresh if I had gone earlier.

This place was absolutely delicious! Staff were very helpful and accommodating with my infant son and I. My Baleada was very flavorful and the nance juice was delicious. Would definitely eat again next time we are in Waukegan.

This is by far at the hardest review Iâve ever had to write. I donât do this often as my policy is if I have nothing good to say, I just donât leave a review, but this one hurt me as I am from Honduras.
I would like to start by pointing out that the location and setting is phenomenal. They really did a great job with the decor as it is very clean. You could tell that they put a lot of care and effort in their branding as well.
Unfortunately, thatâs where they spent it all. The baleadas were made with store bought tortillas. (I asked the girl if those were handmade and she looked at me in the eyes and said they were made this morning with a straight face). I saw her open up a plastic bag with tortillas. Whether or not they were handmade is neither here nor there as they were not made on the spot. 100% unacceptable.
My Pollo Con Tajadas chips were just off brand Zambos. Not actual plantain chips made in house and were swimming in a puddle of âred waterâ. The chicken was sitting there in a heater and not fresh fried. My whole meal was soggy within seconds. I took a couple of bites and was done.
Hate is a very strong word. But dammit I HATED everything about this meal. The highlight was the diet Pepsi that helped me wash it all off.
I really hope that all the love, care, and effort they put in their storefront pours over to their food making.
