Umm no . we order 65 bucks worth of food to try a wide range of food they made... 1)Low main gross shrimp tasted old and they use duck fat in all dishes .. )2Shrimp egg too young found a hair in my food ... and the gravy greasey and didnt taste right ..3)chicken fried rice again duck fat .greasey only taste like onions nothing else chicken was rubbery. 4) shrimp fried rice .. Well we will just say husband toke one bite and not another one. Gross he said . 5) general tso's chicken it was ok not the best taste like orange chicken with pepper seeds. Soggy .rubbery just not right . 6) orange chicken was actually a little more stiff as not soggy . but what is to except it oranges just bitter . 7) sweet and sour chicken well never got my sauce for it cause they forgot it and buy th3 tim3 I got it . well I order food at 630 pm got it at 730 8 on and got my sause at 9.30 pm so we had already had it with rhe food . so no one wanted too eat abythibg after all that greasey duck fat food.8) lord dont order work g rolls so hard and gross .... Dont get them . they are store bought and just gross. 9) egg rolls they I think make them there but they frezze them then cook but taste like old frezzer .. Gross man from my experience this was the worst that I had ever tasted and I've just come to conclusion not to order any Chinese food from Waukegan area.

Terrible management, placed an order (and payment) online and went to pick it up only to be told over and over that my order was never received. I showed my confirmation code, website, and receipt for my purchase and he continued to repeat that the order was never received and if I wanted my food I would have to make another payment. Also gave a long pathetic excuse about the website not being set up properly and that customers should not order there (even though it is their company site). After 20min of arguing it was finally revealed that my order had been placed and payment successfully submitted, at this point I had my order canceled because of poor service. The proper thing to do would've been to make the order and apologize for the inconvenience; and figure out internal issues later. It was a simple issue that turned into a huge mess because the owner refused to take accountability for his own mistake and simply provide the service that was paid for. I will not be eating here again.

I would give a zero if possible as I am very unhappy with the management. I have ordered several large orders in past always giving large tips, and the food was OK. This time I ordered, among other things, the seafood chef special which has King crab meat, scallops and shrimp with mixed vegetables. The "crab" turned out to be that imitation crab stuff which is gross and cheap af. It was mushy and BAD. My entire order was $60, mind you. I called and asked for a refund for the seafood dish. The owner denied that the crab was fake and then called back and said he would give me $5 off for the bad crab but not the entire dish. Ridiculous! I have never had a restaurant be so cheap and dishonest. I told him forget the refund and I will NEVER get food from this restaurant again. They are LUCKY to still be open with this crappy management. I miss Fongs!

Food was gross. The chicken king pao was just yucky and bitter, couldn't place what was making it bitter. The owners/cooks really lack in customer service. While I was in booth the restaurant cook was coughing up disgusting phlegm without regard to the fact that I was there. The lady( I think she's one of the owners) is short and not friendly at all. Rice is just rice with soy sauce, onions and bean sprouts. No egg or veggies as in other places. Do not recommend.

This was definitely a one star experience. Let's start with the fact that a CHILD no older than 10 seated us. It's Friday night and the restaurant was empty. Huge tear in the booth. We ordered egg rolls but they "ran out of pork egg rolls". Hence, they don't make their own egg rolls. Should I be eating here?? I suppose. There are other children sitting behind us on barstools. Kicking and making A LOT of noise. I ordered the Mongolian beef and chicken. Idk I'm kind of scared of this..... coke in a can.... ok the Mongolian beef and chicken was pretty tasty. I have to give it a star so I did. that's it though. We also ordered fried chicken wings and pork rice. Terrible rice. The rest is a mess. This is a struggling restaurant for sure. Music would be nice. It would drown out the kicking from the minors on barstools. I also can't believe this same group of minors disrespected our American flag by jumping on it, dragging on the ground and sitting on it. I am just appalled. Not to mention the workers from this place actually ordered pizza. if that doesn't explain how it is, i don't know what will..... oh. I did mention the flag dragging. Man didn't care. Lol. What a place!

Placed an online delivery order that was supposed to be ready within an hour. I also received an email confirmation after it was placed. After an hour and 15 mins. I called to check on the status of the order and a lady that answered asked for my address and prompted to say the driver was on his way. After 1 hour and 45 minutes I called again frustrated asking to cancel my order and my money back, the same lady picked up and put a male on the phone and he again asked for my information and he said my order was 'lost' I asked what he meant by that because when I had called previously the lady told me my order was on it's way and he said the lady had gotten confused but my order had gotten lost! What does that even mean?! What a waste of time! So unacceptable!

WAS GOOD BUT NO MORE, sorry but when you try to pass off frozen store bought food as your own then it's all over. Then the classic "I don't understand English well, what you saying" response to my return phone call was a nice touch.

Where do I begin.... when lucky food came in to Waukegan their food was absolutely excellent! How sad things have changed over the past couple of years, now its taste like they use inferior ingredients and it seems as though they use the same sauce for every dish! ... seriously!- The egg rolls are horrible! I ordered cashew chicken the gave me 7 cashews in the entire dish and 4 pieces of chicken.. the rest of it was vegetables. The fried rice is disgusting taste like they just put soy sauce on it and that's all! I can do that at home!.... they are now taking over a staple restaurant in Waukegan that has been there for many many years 'Fongs' off Genesee.... hopefully they will make some changes soon otherwise it will not survive people want real Chinese food! Not something that tastes like it's out of a can....Get it together Lucky!

Where do I start. I would rather give 0 star rating to this place, but that isn't an option. I will not suggest this place to anyone. Placed an order for delivery. They tell us a 1 hour delivery time. Which is expected on a Friday evening. Well when the food shows up almost 40 minutes late, I just brushed it off as a busy night. And plus I was really hungry at this point. Low and behold I open my food, and surprise! They messed my order up. I specifically asked for no mushrooms, because I'm allergic to them. And right there on top of my food is multiple mushrooms. So we call them and explain what happened and try to be calm with them. They say the manager will call us. He calls and we tell him what happened, his solution to the issue? Oh you can make the drive over here (keep in mind its 15 mins away) ans they will try to get it ready as quick as possible.... Excuse me? You deliver late and you screw my order up, and you expect me to go out of my way to fix your screwed up business? Will not be ordering from this place again, and would not recommend it for anyone. Obviously they dont pay attention and the customer service is absolute garbage.

The man that answered said they lost my order because "we have too many online orders".He asked if "I wanted the food or not and it will take 30 minutes to cook". I cancelled the order. I also only live 1.6 miles away. In addition when I placed the order, you have the option to add a pre-calculated tip. When I selected 15% is was calculating tip on food, tax, and delivery charge! This is bogus and a SCAM. You do not tip on tax and do not tip on a delivery charge!!!!'
Lucky foods is slightly above average. We ordered 5 dishes, all were well done . I would order order from them again. I think Great Wall in Zion is just slightly better.

I work 10 minutes away from here and am so glad I discovered this place. I love that every time I step in they are just packing up my food. THE EGG ROLLS ARE AMAZING I have never tasted one like this before. So crispy but the veggies inside are so soft.. it's great food for a great price you will not be disappointed! Thank you lucky food for helping a broke student fulfill their Chinese food needs!

Decent food, large portions, some what spicy when asked. Orange chicken is meaty, and so is fried rice. The low mien is very nasty also. Hot and sour soup is so so. My real only complaint is you can ask for hot mustard let them know you asked last time and never got it and you will still never receive it.

I had a horrible experience with this place tonight... Let's begin with the fact that I have a baby who hates the car so if I have to order food it must be delivery. Well, I placed an order at 5:11pm today for the "Dinner for 2" combo with general tso chicken, beef with peppers and onions, fried rice, wonton soup and crab ragoons, and some lomain. I got a confirmation email saying that the restaurant received my order shortly after placing the order. In that email it said your "estimated delivery time is 5:42" ok, that's fine 30 min... whatever... place is 10-15min from my house, and I get its rush hour. Well at 6:20pm it still wasn't there, I called the restaurant, they told me the driver was on "his" way. 6:50... my order showed up... a girl delivered it, and before I had a chance to say anything she ran off my porch and drove off. Open up my food... and instead of general tso chicken we got orange chicken... food was hot, so I could tell it was made like 10 min ago... Moral of the story, I will not be returning to this place. The food wasn't good, the delivery was awful, and you could tell that the restaurant lied and didn't give a crap about their customers.
