Food and service was great. The owner introduced himself and even visited during our dinner to see if we were satisfied . We were lucky to come across this place which is down the street from the Genesee. Now we have a place for dinner and cocktails before the show.

We’re unable to review the food due to apparent operational challenges. We arrived around 6:15, an hour before we wanted to be at the theater for Eddie Izzard. We waited about 10 minutes for a table since we didn’t have a reservation, which still would have been fine with prompt service. After being sat, we waited over 10 minutes more with no water or food & beverage orders taken. Two different servers promised to take our order but then walked past our table several times without saying anything more. This was starting to push it, especially considering we didn’t see any food emerge from the kitchen during that time. So, we bailed.

The service was excellent! Very attentive! The portions are plenty and food was perfect. The owners are extremely personable, checking throughout the dining room constantly. It almost felt like “Cheers” as they knew the regulars. This is cery important showing they truely care about tyeir customerd. I would absolutely recommend Lucky Scottie!!!!
Parking: They accommodate those who need parking. On-street parking free after 5:00.

Unqualified server messed up every aspect of our dining - drinks, food, the check. We had a show to attend and even after several reminders, the server chit chatted with coworkers after we asked her to remove the double charging of drinks. We won't be back!

Great place to grab a bite to eat before going to the Theatre. Exceptional hospitality and service. It was date night for us, and David sat us upstairs where it was a bit quieter. Thanked up for coming and invited us back after the show for a drink. Overall great experience and highly recommend.

We ordered to our hotel room, so I wasn't physically there. The owner went out of his way for us, he was the one that actually delivered our food. His service was beyond excellent, it has been years since I had a wonderful experience that Dave( the owner )gave me and my family.. The food was some of the best we've had in a while too. I would definitely recommend. If I ever go to N. Chicago again I will be going there..

Found this Gem quite by accident, and so fortunate we did. Looking for somewhere to eat after the show at the Genesee theater which is right down the street. Excellent vibe, Excellent food, just a very fun place also with great music! Plan on visiting for a meal before the next show and may hit it after !

I can't say enough about this restaurant. We had a party of 12 and ordered an array of food. Everything came from the kitchen at the same time. The food was hot and delicious! The owner came out and visited with us and congratulated our nephew for graduating Naval bootcamp. I highly recommend Lucky Scottie!! I don't ever write reviews...this place deserves one!
