Waited 20 minutes for a small order and received it cold. This location is definitely my least favorite in Waukegan.

The place was lively when I went in. A little busy, but always to be expected at a McDonald's. Barely got much, so the order came quickly, and the taste was as expected. The cleanliness is pretty decent too and everything is updated.

This is a horrible McDonald’s I do not recommend it at all. Firstly I ordered my items on the kiosk and went to pay at the kiosk, the cashier seemed like he was not trained at all, I think McDonald’s should do better and train their employees. Secondly I noticed it’s been over 30 minutes since I ordered my Burger so I naturally went to the counter to ask and there was a lot of arguing going on in the back of the restaurant, this is EXTREMELY unprofessional, vulgar language and very loud. Lastly, I received my burger after waiting what seemed like an eternity just to receive it cold, stale bread, and cheese that was not melted at all it was as if they were just took the cheese out and placed it on the burger. So in conclusion I do not recommend this McDonald’s at all, this is extremely unprofessional and makes the business look a mess. The date of my visit was August 30, 2025 at around 7PM.

This Mcdonalds is in need of an automatic door. Ive been here a couple of time or passed by and see how people in wheelchairs or walkers struggle to go in because they cant open the doors themselves and have to wait on others

Not a great McDonald's. The cashier overcharged us for meals when we asked for just the sandwich. Her supervisor was able to refund and correct the order. The chicken sandwich was fried in old oil and was small. The Quarter Pounder is a victim of shrinkflation. The sandwich was the size of a regular McDonald's hamburger but still cost over $6. No way this was a quarter pound of beef before cooking. The dining area was dirty and had some customers who were loud and/or annoying.

What is there to say? It's McDonald's.

The food isn't necessarily worse than other McDonald's locations, unfortunately in the evening I've come to expect that whoever is working the grill either can't or won't read the grill tickets. So customizing your sandwich is ignored as is ordering a deluxe quarter pounder, which gets you a regular one even though you were charged extra.

Check your order before you leave.

Additional issues appear to just spring from cheapness of whoever the franchisee is.

Today I was sweltering as I ate because someone decided I guess to turn off the air conditioner to save money. I feel sorry for whoever has to work here on the grill or the fry vat when the owner isn't turning the air conditioner on.

They also switched off the soda machines a long time ago. They'll give you a refill but you have to ask for one, no self-serve.

I prefer strongly to use the McDonald's over in the Walmart if I'm on that side of town anyway.

It seems like big corporations have decided to just turn off the air conditioning and make the experience miserable when it's in the 80s or 90s.

I don't know how recently they started this, but it sucks. At home my policy with the air conditioner is the power company can just send me a bill and I'll pay it.

I can't stand the heat, so just tolerating it is something I won't do even if our country is going to hell and the power company is a bunch of bandits.

Not sure if I'll eat inside this McDonald's again.
