Ah, Panda Express, the beloved fast-food giant that promises to transport your taste buds straight to the streets of China—without the need for a passport! I swung by this culinary haven at around 4:30 PM, hoping to indulge in some deliciousness after a long day. Spoiler alert: It was a roller coaster of flavors and feelings!
Let’s talk about my order: two entrees of teriyaki chicken, one chef’s special, and a side of rice. First up, the teriyaki chicken. Can I just say, the portion size was so generous that I half expected it to start asking for a seat at my table? Seriously, the lady who served me was a rock star! Sometimes I feel like I’m playing a game of “Will I Get Enough Chicken Today?” but this time, the answer was a resounding “Yes!” 5 out of 5 for the portion size—if there was a chicken portion Olympics, she’d definitely take home the gold.
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: the service. Picture this: a long line of hungry patrons, all waiting for their orange chicken fix. The chaos was real! The staff was flustered, and I could practically hear the collective sigh of “Why did we choose this job?” One server, a Mexican gentleman, had a demeanor that can only be described as “rushed negativity.” He wasn’t outright rude, but he definitely looked like he’d rather be anywhere else than serving me and my fellow military buddy. I mean, come on, buddy! We’re just here to eat, not to give you a pep talk!
Now, onto the chef’s special: a medley of chicken and veggies swimming in a sauce that tasted like it might have been on a vacation somewhere far away. It was a bit underwhelming—like that one friend who promises to bring the fun but shows up with a board game instead. I’d give it a 2.5 out of 5. Sorry, chef, but I’m pretty sure I’ve had better chicken adventures in my microwave.
As for the price, at $12.35 after tax, it was neither a wallet-buster nor a steal. Just an average day at the Panda bank. You know, enough to remind you that while you’re not breaking the bank, you’re also not exactly feasting like royalty.
Overall, my experience at Panda Express was a mixed bag of chicken joy and service drama. While the teriyaki chicken was a clear winner, the chef’s special left me feeling a bit like I was missing out on the real flavor party. So, I’ll give it a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. If you're in the mood for a filling meal, go for the teriyaki—just maybe skip the chef’s special unless you’re feeling adventurous (or like a culinary daredevil)!
Until next time, keep your chopsticks ready and your expectations in check! 🥢🍚

Recommended dishes: Grilled Teriyaki Chicken, Fried Rice
I had a great meal from Panda Express. The fried rice was cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of seasoning and a fluffy texture. The grilled teriyaki chicken was tender, juicy, and had a rich, savory glaze that paired wonderfully with the rice. The broccoli beef was a standout. The beef was tender, and the broccoli was fresh and crisp, coated in a flavorful sauce. The portions were generous. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly and efficient, making the visit even more enjoyable. Everything was packaged neatly for my To-go order, and they didn't forget any sauces or utensils.

This is unacceptable. This happens most of the time when I order on drive thru where they give out food that’s been sitting there for hours. Their staff is not so friendly either. I don’t know why it’s gone this bad. This place is not what it was 4 yrs ago.

Food was great and the flavors didn't disappoint here. I took a minute to decide what I wanted and the staff was clearly frustrated that I don't know right away what I wanted. I felt rushed and couldn't ask about any of the entrees options.

The employees especially a young lady named Wendy were incredibly rude. They were handling money then food without washing or using gloves, and the rest room was disgusting.
