Best tavern pizza I've had in 2 years! As a native Rhode Islander, I am very particular about pizza and knowing the Quonset name has a lot of responsibility associated with it ? My wife and I have decided this will be our new pizza spot going forward.

The lunch special is fantastic!I do know the sausage is not what it was years ago but (overall) it is still very worthwhile.

I am desolate and in despair after our visit to Quonset this evening. Please let me explain; the service was excellent and our server was very attentive without hovering~A+. Our wait time from order to receiving our 14" cheese, sausage, green pepper, onion and mushroom was a tad long but not terrible~B+. The price of $28 was okay but a bit higher than we expected~B-. The ambiance was great, exactly as we have come to expect from this wonderful, longtime; dare I say historical, neighborhood tavern~A+. However, here is where my sadness and disappointment comes in. I grew up in this area and have enjoyed, no actually loved, Quonset Pizza for over 65 years. But I moved from the area long ago; still having family here Quonset has always been one stop we never missed when visiting. For many, many years I knew exactly the taste and texture that would slam my mouth and tummy from the first singe the roof of my mouth to the last leftover cold pizza for breakfast taste...heaven on earth. Not even close tonight! When the new owners took over several years ago they vowed to change nothing to the pizza or bombers. Occasionally I would notice very slight nuanced differences...sausage not quite the same or the sauce seasoned a little differently and I chalked those changes to maybe new staff or perhaps a new supplier. I was still happy with the overall taste and sensation. Tonight was a very rude awakening, my sister warned me but I had to make the final discovery for myself! This is not the Quonset pizza of my youth, teens, young adult Army Wife, motherhood, middle age and now my senior years and I am heartbroken! The crust was tough...not delectable and unique as in the past. The sausage did not taste or feel the same at all. The sauce was an assault...plain old tomato sauce out of the can, none of the same spices or aroma that I yearned for when away from home and missed with any other pizzas I've ever had. Please don't get me wrong, the pizza wasn't bad and it would be top notch in many places across the USA, but it wasn't the "real" Quonset" pizza. Sad, sad, sad!!! It was actually great to see the expanded menu. It shows that a lot of thought went in for your patrons added enjoyment. Just one more little nit picking thing on my mind. Ugh, you say, she's already nit picked us far more than we wanted! In your description you say this place is retro! Come on now, nothing retro about it as everything is mostly ORIGINAL. The only change I can think of is the old burgundy, floral, oil cloth( maybe) curtains were removed.

This place is worth it just for the ambiance. Five generations of my family have eaten here over the last 70+ years. I don't think the decor has changed and that's part of what we love about it! The pizza is great, as is the Bomber Sandwich. The service is also great and they're very attentive. This place had better never close!

We went here twice and both times we sat and were ignored by the waitress and ended up walking out. Big disappointment

Got the personal pizza and it was tasty. Comes with a can of soda. The prize was about $10 which I would say it's reasonable for a non-chain restaurant.

I really tried to get into the pizza… It literally taste like nothing, I’m so disappointed because i heard nice things. The place is really clean etc. but the pizza is not it. I will never order here again, I haven’t tasted the wings and I’m actually afraid. Being from Chicago I definitely know good food, this is not it at ALL⁉️

Cool spot for pizza. It's got a diner vibe with the decor. Pretty good pizza. I really like super thin crust, and this place did not disappoint.
