First time here. We used to go to the other location when my wife lived in Waukegan. Anyway the young girl that waited on us was very polite and had great customer service skills. She is definitely an asset to your company

Shirl’s is an institution. One hot day building roads, my boss said, “Go get everyone milkshakes!” One guy wanted a root beer milkshake. I told they wouldn’t have that. He told me how to make one. I had to tell them how to do it. He said it was fabulous.

My family feels it is a special treat to stop there for ice cream.

I love Shirls and like many of us Waukeganites, I’ve been coming to Shirls since I was young. I don’t know if it’s the new staff, a lack of training or they just don’t care about their customer service anymore.

I stopped by on Saturday between 8-8:30 and there was no line inside nor in drive thru, but the red hair girl who took my order was super unprofessional. She told me to give her a minute, made me wait at least 5, which I didn’t really mind,...
