The food is amazing, the dining is spacious, and the prices are pretty good too! My favorite thing to order is a gordita de asada and it's just AMAZING. The salsas are spicy enough to not interrupt with the overall flavor and the employees are so nice?

I gotta know how 2 burritos and 2 sides small of rice come out to $34!? Complete rip off if you ask me. I've been to other el paraiso locations, not sure if they're related or not but at most I've spent there for 2 burritos and 4 sides of rice is $29.

Obviously, there's a ton of great Mexican food in Waukegan... I've lived and worked in the community for more than a decade and these guys are ridiculously good.Not as great for date vibe, but perfect for the family. Highly highly highly recommend.Burrito asada is perfect.
The atmosphere looked somewhat institutional however it was nice and sunny, with the waiting person was accommodating and the cook working behind the high counter, the food was traditional, not overly spicy, though they did have red & green salsas, the servings generous. Now the coffee was very good, it had a little different flavor. Maybe a little bit of cinnamon, an essence. Mine was with cream and sweet & low. I had chorizo with chilaquiles and eggs. On the side beans and rice with chopped lettuce and tomato, I can’t forget the ample amount of corn tortillas.I was feeling full when I paid the reasonable amount, but the coffee was a good memory. Sure I would recommend it and I would welcome my friends or family to eat there too.

EL Paraiso, They have some of the best mini beef tacos in the area, the tacos are so delicious and seasoned to the max. The side of rice is delicious and seasoned to the max. The food be hot to the order. The restaurant is clean and they present your food real good. Trust me it’s worth the money. They also have good customer service, the staff gets your order in and out to you right away, and they are really friendly, good job EL Paraiso !!!!!!!!!!!
