I’ve been going to Kindred Coffee since I was a kid, back when they first opened. I genuinely love their coffee (the Brownie Points is my favorite), and even though it’s on the pricier side, I’m always happy to support a local small business with quality coffee. :)
One consistent issue I’ve had is when picking up online food orders (or ordering food in general). The lady who prepares my order most of the time seems very visibly annoyed and hands it off without saying anything, which can feel unwelcoming and uncomfortable as a customer. This has been the case in the last 10+ times I’ve ordered food here. I’ve also noticed that orders frequently take a lot longer than the stated pickup time (which isn’t too big of a deal).
I still enjoy Kindred a lot and will remain a customer, but I hope the online ordering/pickup experience can be improved. The awkwardness & rude attitude during pickup is making me want to stop ordering as it’s just so uncomfortable :(

Cutest coffee shop with lots of seating and great coffee and food! Will definitely be back!
Lots of people sitting here working – it was fun to watch a college student, painting, and drawing. It’s super chill place with loads of choices. The seat up front or sunny and bright with the big windows and the plants – we sat in the back and could easily talk. I enjoyed the flat white and my friend had a Cortado that was so good. She went and got a second one. We did not eat there as we’re only meeting for coffee. What a great little place!

Honestly? Coffee's great as it always has been. That being said - unfortunately I am being priced out of this place. The beans have been getting more and more and more expensive and at this point, $26 for a 12 oz bag of beans just isn't sustainable for me. Pop in for a cup and a sandwich and expect to spend a solid twenty bucks. If only my salary kept up with inflation!

Five star atmosphere! Wife’s Brownie Points crafted coffee drink was very good and my Americano was ok. I need to taste the espresso in its pure form on a next visit. Askinosie dark chocolate, strawberry and pineapple bar that is sold at kindred coffee is off the charts!
The price for the Brownie Points my wife got was way too much in our estimation——a whopping $8.50 for the size of what you would get at Starbucks between a tall and a grande. I saw the price from just one year ago and it looks like it went up over three dollars unless we are reading it wrong.
7 Brew by my home in Naperville gives you a MEGA extra large craft coffee drink three times the size to the Brownie Points for less money.
The young woman serving us was so kind and wonderful. Great customer service!

I had known about Kindred for awhile but wasn't really a coffee drinker (I know, right!). Boy was I glad that I stopped by this morning. Life is too short to eat or drink substandard food and Kindred is the diamond in the rough. The barista recommended a sandwich and ice tea (my jam) that was literally amazing. With prices for things being fairly equal across the board, why wouldn't you go to Kindred to spend your dough? The fact they source things responsibly is honestly, the type of world we want to live in, right? Make sure you make an effort to buy locally, places like Kindred, we need more of them.

Come in for the first time and got to witness a random act of kindness from the worker to a customer. Coffee and tea were both amazing. Kindred really is the right word!

Gosh. I love this place. The staff is great. If you love unique recipes come here. I absolutely LOVE their strawberry basil muffins and their twist on pumpkin spice. Ugh. Chefs kiss
