It's nice to be able to get a nice sandwich & chips at the airport FBO, but if you aren't pressed for time, i have to recommend Portillos.

Kitty Hawk is a secret gem. . My son loves doing to DPA and watching all planes take off and "butter" landings but we also go for the food. The sandwiches are all so tasty. For a small cafe, the offerings are delicious. The kind woman who works there is very accommodating and wants everyone to have a positive experience. Kitty Hawk is a favorite and we love it!

Very convenient cafe located inside the Dupage Flight Center. I grabbed the Chipotle Chicken Panini and ate it in the plane later that day. The staff member was very friendly and she had my sandwich ready quickly, knowing that I needed to takeoff. Definitely beats running to a fast food joint for a quick bite.

Great Airport Restaurant with a great View.

awesome view of airport operations and pretty good food. Its a lil cafe where you go to the counter and pick up what you want to eat. Lots of seats at the huge windows.

Go there for lunch from time to time. The woman who runs it does a nice job. She is always friendly and the food is actually quite good. I will definitely be back.

Friendly staff and fast service. We had the grilled cheese sandwich which was amazing but I had the southwest wrap which was the worst wrap that I've ever had. Absolutely no taste. Cafe has a lot of potential as it's located in one of the nicest FBO I've ever seen!

Nice little airport restaurant for a ligtht meal and a view of the aircraft. It's the only restaurant at the Dupage airport. Everything is like new. Staff is welcoming. Food is good. Open weekdays 9am to 2pm. Tables along the windows for viewing airport activities.

Really great FBO. Super nice pilot lounge and the staff is very accommodating. Tower controllers are very patient and professional, it is a training class D airport so on sunny VFR days expect heavy pattern traffic. Other than that, it's a very well maintained airport.

WOW what a great FBO cafe, the food was home made and delicious :) Lady was super friendly I think she was the owner but she made such a great chicken club sandwich it was outstanding. Can't to eat there again next time we fly back into town :)

KDPA is seriously the swankiest airport that I've ever been to, thanks to their super nice FBO. I flew in with my instructor on a gloomy Saturday, so we pretty much had the entire airport to ourselves, which was I'm sure a different experience than on a nice day, or a weekday with lots of business travel. Nonetheless, we got to use the super clean restrooms, relax in the super posh pilot lounge, and drink some complimentary lemon water (there was also coffee and tea, but I won't do caffeine after noon). There's a cafe, but the really friendly woman working at the FBO said it's only open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., so no dice in getting a snack if you're there on a weekend. That said, there's a complimentary car so you can drive to a nearby restaurant or fast food joint (of which there are plenty) if you're jonesing for some grub. Now that I know just how nice this place is, I might fly here once I get my certificate with some friends so they think I'm really living the high life as a private pilot! :-D
