Bleuroot is honestly one of my favorite restaurants. Being gluten free and focused on healthier eating, there are so many options to choose from on the menu. The cocktails are unique and taste amazing as well. I have been here three times and have never been disappointed. I will continue to come back often.

The food was very good! Unfortunately, the service was not. We had reservations and were sat very quickly. We did not have anyone approach our table for 15 minutes. No water or drink order nada! Finally our server arrived! He was rushed he took our drink order. During the meal, we did not have silverware for at least another 5 minutes after our meal arrived. We ask for a refill on our drinks that did not come until almost the end of our meals. No water refill either. We were going to stay for coffee and desserts but it took forever to get the server back so we paid the bill and left. Like I said, the food is very delicious. They just need to work on their front house procedures.

Beautiful dining room. We were there early on a Friday night and had the whole place to ourselves. Our table had a view of the water, very nice. The short rub poutine was amazing and very filling. We couldn't even eat our entrees. They were delicious leftovers though (Bao buns and Bison burger). The soups were delicious and homemade (Mushroom pho and Corn pablano). Highly recommend for a quality meal.

Went on a Saturday night. We really wanted this place to be great. When we walked in we were met with the foul stench of what we assumed were the bathrooms. Made reservations that they couldn’t find for some reason. Sat us in a corner next to a utility closet that bus boys used. Server was absent mostly (empty drinks, etc). Menu was underwhelming, and they were out of 4 of the items we were interested in trying. Ordered three entrees. (Beef tenderloin sliders, beef bolognese, shrimp and grits) food arrived cold and dry unfortunately, and server forgot to put in shrimp and grits order so that came late. When it arrived grits were undercooked and shrimp had tails still intact. Was not able to eat it. For the price of the food we expected a different experience. Most likely won’t be coming back. :/

We have been dining in that restaurant for last 5-6 years. Always great experience. Menu not huge but carefully crafted with variety of choices. I didn't have anything ugly yet. Good GF options, tested.Awesome staff. Thanks.Could be noisy on weekends. Ask for upstairs tables.Mirek.
Everyone enjoyed their soup, flatbread or BBQ sliders. The salads were delicious also.

We went on Saturday afternoon and sat upstairs overlooking the Fox River and saw bald eagles fishing from our table. We had the room to ourselves the entire meal, and Kevin provided excellent and friendly service.I had the shrimp and grits special and mushroom brie soup, both excellent. My partner had the pot roast bao buns and corn soup. He loved both of them.We had salted caramel affogato and almond pistachio cream cake for dessert and they were served in mismatched vintage china, so good! We will definitely look forward to visiting again.

To be clear...I'd rate them at 3.5 stars, because they are better than average for sure...our single experience was inconsistent. Server Simon was fantastic. Ambience was very nice. Food however was alternately great and below average. Both orders of the beef short rib ravioli were sublime, but never came with the advertised microgreens. The mushroom brie is inspired and top class, however the mushroom pho was very bland and tasted about as "far east" as Ohio chicken soup. Cocktails were good and I do appreciate a revolving menu. We'll go again, because the high notes were worth it and I remain optimistic they'll straighten out the inconsistencies.

Wow, this place is amazing, the food and the service were excellent. We had Kevin serving us and he was great. I'll highly recommend everyone check this place out. You will not be disappointed.
Cool building and the food is phenomenal. Had a flatbread with grapes and arugula that was terrific. Their spare rib ravioli is incredible. Good micro brews on tap. They have some really interesting salads/protein bowls and burgers. You cannot go wrong with this place.

We drove over an hour to come try this place out! Food was alright would have been better coming from the kitchen steaming hot but it just didn’t happen. Service was slow with our server vanishing for extended periods. One thing they had on point was the acoustic live music.. was very nice. I wouldn’t mind trying this place again but for the money and drive it might not be soon.

Right in Historic Distric, the food meets Farm-to-Table expectations. The Mushroom Brie Soup was very tasty. Our waiter Simon was courteous and did an excellent job.
