We went to Woodfire for my birthday. The food and service is excellent. Vicki was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. The food is so fresh and homemade. The pizza crust is crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. There is an assortment of types of pizza, but the cheese pizza is the best I’ve ever had. The pasta is rich and delicious. Just left after birthday party with 5. Semolina gnocchi with ox tail ragu was ok, sauce somewhat bland. Bolognese nothing extraordinary and cheesecake dessert had consistency of cottage cheese. All of us prefer Francesca's which ironically shared the same spot years ago. Francesca's is now in Barrington. Go there.
We went to Woodfire for the first time a few weeks back on a Thursday night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Full house!! We had the best appetizers, main dishes (pasta & pizza), drinks and the donuts as a treat from our amazingly friendly server was a fabulous ending to a great night! Great atmosphere, food, drinks & service!! Looking forward to going back again soon!
