There are not enough words to do this hole-in-the-wall restaurant justice. The food is more than reasonably priced, and everything tastes well-prepared and cooked to perfection. Drinks are also at a good price compared to other eating establishments and joints in the area.

They say us at a dirty table, then they brought my wife and my food out before the kids and my green beans were cold, chicken was not good. Terrible experience would not recommend.

Great food for a great price. Their Broasted Chicken is some of the best fried chicken I have ever tasted, their chicken gizzards (which you can only get on Tuesdays) are also among the best I ever tasted. Their homemade pies are also very good. You can get a full breakfast for less than a breakfast extra value meal at McDonald's and their breakfasts are better than at Cracker Barrel for a fraction of the cost. I have only gotten one thing there that I do not like, their French fries. I do not know why, but I don't think I have ever gotten a crisp French fry there, even when I stated that I wanted them crisp or well done. For the last two years, I have gotten my Thanksgiving Dinner there, and it has been excellent, and was extremely inexpensive. In my opinion the West Union Cafe deserves all of the awards they have gotten.

drove over from terre haute today. they weren't overly busy but sat us in the back room and pretty much forgot about us. we sat there for like 20 mins and finally just left. didn't see a waitress after we got seated. didn't even give us menus after we got seated and waited patiently for waitress to show up. wasted that drive. I dont mind waiting but the people coming in after us were getting menus and everything. so after about 20 mins of being there and nobody helping us at all, we just left. we will take our business elsewhere.

Had lunch there today with my wife. This place is a real jewel, they know how to cook. I really appreciated the big slice of sweet onion on my bacon cheeseburger, most places usually give you a couple of pieces, not here, a whole slice. For an onion lover like me that is sandwich heaven.
