This restaurant is NOT CELIAC SAFE. Years ago I gave it a four star review for outstanding gluten-free food. They need to take the GF off their menu! Shame on me for having trust but I got violently ill. The food is outstanding but if you're a gluten-free celiac don't even eat try to eat here. I'm just trying to save someone else from getting sick. Server assured me It was gluten-free. I really wish I can get my money back! I rarely leave a bad review but unless you're Celiac you won't understand how violently ill we get. Remove gluten-free off your menu!

We arrived around 7 pm. We were the only guests. The owner came out and delivered the menu. No liquor license. She said one can bring their own. One of our group left for wine. We began with pot stickers and egg rolls. Both very good. We ordered thai fried rice, orange chicken and a broccoli beef entree. Would not recommend the beef. Orange chicken perfect. Fried rice average. Little chicken and limited veggies. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner as documented and would return or secure carryout.

We happen to go on a day when the owner had people call off work. She ran the entire restaurant herself that day, which is pretty outstanding. The food was excellent and worth waiting for. I would say this is a must visit place.

Since they cook each meal to order, and use less oil in their dishes, the food tastes light and fresh. It also means this is a sit down restaurant and if you don't want to wait, order take out instead. Either way you'll get a fantastic meal and friendly service.

The chicken was undercooked for one of the satay, and service was relatively good. The panang was delicious as well as crab rangoon. Careful with those larger pieces of satay! Overall a good

Chouns is our favorite place to go for a quiet dinner in downtown Wheaton. It’s a place to go when you have the time to enjoy your food, wine and company. The food is freshly made by Choun herself while you wait. We have gone several times over the years and never disappointed with the Thai food selection. Like all places right now, they are short on staff-go early or expect dinner to take some time to make and deliver to your table by Choun herself! She cares about her food quality and especially cares about her customers-thanks Choun! If you go to the downtown Wheaton Market, stop by the food truck and get her delicious potstickers!

Ordered delivery and was not pleased. Noodle salad was made with little to no effort. Missing all the flavor, and it was super soggy.

Do yourself a favor and check Choun's restaurant if you want the best fresh Thai food around! I had the best vegan penang curry I've ever had in my life and I've tried soo many. Definitely my new favorite go to Thai spot from now on!

Came all the way from Naperville Illinois to find a good Thai place. And I recommended to all the people who loves Thai food. this place is the one. They have the Best Thai Beef salad, and papaya salad and more…. Check them out!

I wish the cooks applied the same care to delivery orders as they obviously do for dine-in (if other reviews are to be believed.) I ordered Drunken Noodle. There were not many slices of beef, and they were overcooked to shoe leather consistency. The noodles were stacked/stuck together about 10 deep, resulting thick globs of starch, when each noodle should be separated and tossed to coat in the sauce (which is tasty). Just zero love given to the dish, and it showed.

The food was good, however, items labeled gluten free were not actually suitable for people with celiac disease. My sister got very sick from eating items that were marked gluten free and we even checked with the kitchen staff to double check! :(

Don’t trust that anything that is marked GF is really gluten free. My Celiac kids got sick after eating only dishes marked Gluten Free. Such a shame.

Dietary restrictions: Not reliable

The appetizers were okay, but the main dishes were not palatable the only flavor we could taste was a tremendous amount of salt.

I have to admit the last couple of reviews were off putting. However, these were rather old reviews. We found that the service was very good and the food also good and filling. I have to say that the Crab Rangoon and fried dumplings were some of the best we have had. The Pad Thai was good and very filling. Granted there weren’t many people in the restaurant but I have to say they seemed to do a considerable amount of carry out business that keeps them going.
