Tried to call in an order at 4:40pm on Thurs and nobody answered the phone! Update your hours if you don't open at 4pm, please!

This is not my first time ordering from Chouns...we've had mixed experiences, but today is my LAST ORDER. COCKROACH in my Massuman curry. Utterly DISGUSTING. Food was delivered in a plastic bag, with food containers in a paper bag stapled shut. I plated the rice and emptied the carton of curry on to the plate and saw this large cockroach. It was still moving slightly. Needless to say the dish, and the rest of my order went in the trash, outside. Genuinely concerned for the safety of other patrons.

This restaurant is NOT CELIAC SAFE. Years ago I gave it a four star review for outstanding gluten-free food. They need to take the GF off their menu! Shame on me for having trust but I got violently ill. The food is outstanding but if you're a gluten-free celiac don't even eat try to eat here. I'm just trying to save someone else from getting sick. Server assured me It was gluten-free. I really wish I can get my money back! I rarely leave a bad review but unless you're Celiac you won't understand how violently ill we get. Remove gluten-free off your menu!

The restaurant space is nice, but the dish I had was horrid. I ordered cashew chicken. The sauce was thick and very salty. The very little pineapple included had a very rancid taste - I spit it out intoba napkin. So grossed out.

Chicken fried rice was ok. The basil chicken had 5 little pieces of chicken. It was all peppers and onions. Disappointed.

Very good Thai food! It's a good portion for the price and the drunken noodle is my favorite dish. It's especially good if you get a side of their hot chili oil sauce, if you like spicy. I also recommend their Thai iced tea because they make it in house! Tom yum is a good soup too. Good service, usually just the owner taking orders and cooking the food

We arrived around 7 pm. We were the only guests. The owner came out and delivered the menu. No liquor license. She said one can bring their own. One of our group left for wine. We began with pot stickers and egg rolls. Both very good. We ordered thai fried rice, orange chicken and a broccoli beef entree. Would not recommend the beef. Orange chicken perfect. Fried rice average. Little chicken and limited veggies. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner as documented and would return or secure carryout.

We happen to go on a day when the owner had people call off work. She ran the entire restaurant herself that day, which is pretty outstanding. The food was excellent and worth waiting for. I would say this is a must visit place.

Twice I have gotten things and they were nowhere near what I expected !! When I have other people in my party questioning the food (that I do not consider foodies) that's when I know things are really wrong!! Wouldn't return

Was looking forward to some good Thai food but we did not find that here. The chicken pad Thai noodles were quite mushy (overcooked) and the beef in the beef in broccoli was chewy and flavorless. Sorry Choun's...we will not be back.

Since they cook each meal to order, and use less oil in their dishes, the food tastes light and fresh. It also means this is a sit down restaurant and if you don't want to wait, order take out instead. Either way you'll get a fantastic meal and friendly service.

The chicken was undercooked for one of the satay, and service was relatively good. The panang was delicious as well as crab rangoon. Careful with those larger pieces of satay! Overall a good

Chouns is our favorite place to go for a quiet dinner in downtown Wheaton. It’s a place to go when you have the time to enjoy your food, wine and company. The food is freshly made by Choun herself while you wait. We have gone several times over the years and never disappointed with the Thai food selection. Like all places right now, they are short on staff-go early or expect dinner to take some time to make and deliver to your table by Choun herself! She cares about her food quality and especially cares about her customers-thanks Choun! If you go to the downtown Wheaton Market, stop by the food truck and get her delicious potstickers!

Ordered delivery and was not pleased. Noodle salad was made with little to no effort. Missing all the flavor, and it was super soggy.

Do yourself a favor and check Choun's restaurant if you want the best fresh Thai food around! I had the best vegan penang curry I've ever had in my life and I've tried soo many. Definitely my new favorite go to Thai spot from now on!
