My husband and I stopped in for the first time and their whiskey vanilla latte with oatmilk was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had!

Tucked away in the back of an alley way this is like a hidden gem in the heart of Wheaton ( another entry through Sassy Biscuits). We ordered their iced chai, Fall special - Spiced Bourbon latte and a cup of salted beer caramel latte and all of them were phenomenal! Highly recommend!
Very popular place and rightfully so. Can’t wait to try rest of their interesting menu

Great family owned coffee shop that roasts their beans on sight. They bag and sell them too so you can make delicious coffee at home or work. I love the CARAVAN espresso blend they use for their lattes. Many other choices so you can find the flavor profile you're looking for.
Bonus: they have a great rewards program, AND they give a 10% discount if you bring in your own reusable mug!
They often have a mobile unit set up at the Saturday morning french market just south of the tracks. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed!

Parking: Free street parking on Main Street, or in the free city lot off West Wesley Street.

If you park on main street, you can go through the biscuit shop, all the way down to the back, to get to the counter. Or you can also go from the outside through an alleyway, and the entrance will be farther down the alleyway.

The atmosphere in front of the counter was a little chaotic, as there were many customers lining up to order and many employees behind the counter taking orders and making coffee. The music and voices were so loud I sort of had to shout my order. The outside seating and biscuit restaurant were a bit more calm.

We got a cortado, an almond vanilla latte, and a whiskey vanilla latte. The whiskey vanilla was the best as it was a unique flavor none of us had tried before. The almond vanilla latte and cortado were okay.

I've been buying my beans from Five and Hoek for years and it doesn't get much better. The care and effort they put into the relationships with the farms they work with, and knowledge they display on the coffees they supply is evident. Every bean seems to be roasted exactly right to showcase the absolute best qualities of the coffee. I especially appreciate the tasting notes and backstory included on every bag. It's like a tour around the world through delicious coffee. Whenever I try to stray from Five and Hoek to a different roaster I am consistently disappointed. This is the best of the best in Chicagoland.

As you walk down the small alley to the coffee shop entrance, it's a bit reminiscent of Europe. The coffee is bursting with flavor and the staff super friendly. It seems to me that its a local favorite as the line doesn't stop adding people to it. However, what is not great is the 20 plus minute wait time in a cramped room and the strong gas smell as I sit on their cute outdoor tables. If it wasn't for the ridiculous wait time, this place would have gotten 5 stars.

Easily Wheaton's best cafe with extremely unique offerings. The salted beer carmel lattee is an instant classic that never quite leaves my mind, and the milkshake version is an even better treat.

5&H is an absolute gem. The staff is incredible, always so friendly and welcoming. My only “complaint” if you will is that it’s too small! 5&H is so popular that once you make it inside, it’s shoulder to shoulder standing room only. The upstairs is Sassy Biscuits (OMG so delicious) which is packed as well. So if you love delicious coffee and breakfast treats, and you want helpful, fast service, go to 5&H! But if you’re claustrophobic or don’t really like tight crowds, maybe stick to their cart at the French Market. 4 1/2 stars for atmosphere, 5 stars for everything else!

Love this place! I go here often both for a cup of a coffee and a bag to last me the week. All the baristas are friendly and smiley. Coffee tastes amazing too. I love that they have iced coffee too. Most places have iced lattes or cold brew, but Five & H offers iced coffee ?.

A dark and moody coffee shop in a good way. I ordered the high five latte and it was good. Had I arrived earlier, I would have definitely ordered the bakery items so I can’t comment much on that!
