We came for lunch on a Sunday. I had the Super Chicken ramen. Let me just start by saying that my wife and I go to Japan every year and know our ramen. We love places like Chicago Ramen and Kitatkata. I was excited for this place to open near where I work. I am sorry to say but this was one of the worst ramen I have ever had. 1.) Price. For $16, what you get is really sad. It came in a small bowl with not a lot of ingrdients and super dry chicken. 2.) Where is the broth? The broth was virtually nonexistent. Related to this issue, the noodles came very very well done. It was like how your instant ramen gets when you let it sit for a while and it soaks up all the broth. Gross. 3.) Temperature. It was just barely warm. I got ramen instead sushi bc I wanted a hot dish on a cold day. 4.) Taste. When I get chicken ramen elsewhere, the chicken flavor kicks you in the face. I had no idea what this was supposed be. I like some instant ramen flavors more than this. For a place with the name ramen in it, this was super disappointing. I would expect this kind of ramen if it is a sushi place and ramen is like a random one item to give people another option. However, if they are going have it in the name of the restaurant, I'd expect more. It's like who ever is making ramen has never had good ramen. Hope this review motivates them to get better.

We walked by this place and just walked in on a wim. We ordered crab rangoons and gyoza to start. Crab rangoons tasted like a cheesy quesadilla from Taco Bell and they were cold. I complained, and they took the 1 crab rangoon that was on the plate, took it back and microwaved it. Then they re-served it. It was disgusting. We then ordered sushi, chicken rice bowl, and udon noodles. The chicken was unseasoned and also luke warm. The noodles were overcooked. The sushi was terrible and we ordered an avocado roll. How do you mess that up? Well ask this place! The atmosphere was weird as they were playing spongebob and friends at the same time. If you are looking for a good place to eat with friends or family… AVOID THIS PLACE. you are welcome in advance!

I’ve been to Japan and their udon was comparable to authentic udon. Sushi was well presented and service was welcoming and friendly. Will come again.

Excited to have a quick date night at the new ramen spot! The lights were warm and just right. They clearly figured out a way to dim their lights (or turn off some of them). The ramen was delicious! The broth was creamy and seasoned well. Definitely not watery or bland as previous reviews suggested. Must have tweaked the recipes. Ramen typically isn't like Pho with a lot of broth. After the ramen, we were actually pretty full. We each also got a roll and an appetizer and struggled to finish everything! My rainbow roll was fresh and done well. My Caucasian husband liked his Wheaton roll. The tuna appetizer had a nice bite to it from a slight sear. Servers were very nice and attentive. We had a great time!

I ordered the Fuji Ramen (pork) and it was delicious! I would 100% order this again. The sushi was good too and was delivered by a chatty robot - super fun. I live in downtown Wheaton and I hope to see a place like this succeed. I couldn't find them on social media - otherwise I would have talked them up there too! Great food and service - I'll be back!

A delicious addition to Wheaton! Our kids loved it too which is always a win. We ordered one sushi roll and everyone had a ramen bowl- but the sushi was so good we will likely share ramens and order more sushi next time! Service was excellent - we can’t wait to be back :)Kid-friendliness: They had cute plastic chop stick holders we hadn’t seen before, and offered our daughter a balloon when she was jittery. And of course they loved the robot server!

I ordered the salmon poke bowl. It was delicious but heavy on rice and lettuce, very light on salmon, and the edamame wasn't on it at all (disappointing as it's one of my favorite parts).

The food was terrible. Don't waste your time here, there is much better Japanese food elsewhere.

My husband and I ordered ramen tonight to go(one Fuji classic, one Fuji spicy). We enjoyed it so much, I forgot to take pictures. The staff was friendly when we picked up and the price lower than what we usually pay for takeout around here. Excited to have a solid ramen option close to us.

My overall grade for Fuji Ramen & Sushi is: C-GyozaSukiyaki beef rice bowKarageNigiriRollsGarlic dipping sauce good. Gyoza - meh.Sukiyaki - hardly any protein. Do not orderKarage (fried chicken) - tisk tisk. Disappointing poor attempt. Sauce: not badNigiri: wow - not good. Yellowtail had no flavor. Unagi barely okSpider roll: no flavorShrimp tempura roll: not goodService: just ok. They forgot our chicken. Robot cute touch.I’m not comparing this sushi place to Chicago, NY, Vegas or LA but other local choices. Not off to a good start Fuji. You better step up your quality of food or you’ll not be around much longer.I did read a review that they have good shrimp tempura. HmmWhile that may be the case, I will not come back. Sorry. You can do much better…

Good quality nigiri. But the star was the classic ramen. Nice rich pork broth, pork chasu was thinly sliced and tasty. Nice alkaline noodles with the firm bouncey texture they are supposed to have. Sushi gets delivered by robot which is a nice touch. Good variety of sake.

Try: Shrimp tempuraDon't Try: Anything but the shrimp tempura.Last Bite Food Review:One of the most frustrating experiences at a sushi restaurant I have ever had. Everything from quality, to service, then to price went wrong. When ordering nigiri you don't expect a fist of rice and a small slice of fish especially if you're paying per piece! Just to let you all know I'm not an over exaggerating reviewer, please see the attached photos. The thinist slices on the largest pieces of rice! Even the simplest miso soup was incredibly under-seasoned. Typically I don't like to complain about service, because I will eat at an amazing restaurant even if it's bad service. But the service here was terrible. We were only 1 out of 3 other tables that evening. We waited nearly 45 minutes for our nigiri when no other table eventually ordered it. What?! And what's worst of all was the quality of everything BUT the shrimp tempura. Light, well fried, and well seasoned. Perfect shrimp tempura in my book. Other than that, everything else.... awful truly awful. My message to the restaurant:I understand how unbelievably competitive it is in the food industry. Sometimes, you can not control those thin margins to keep the lights on. But what you can absolutely control is the quality and service you provide as a restaurant. That is absolutely in your hands, and if you don't take that seriously , you will fail. I hope this restaurant truly has the opportunity to turn things around.
