Came here for lunch and split a salad and pizza. Rocketman pizza that had a lemon oil that was a little too strong of a flavor and Simple Arugula shrimp salad, very tasty.

Great food! Service was quick and staff was friendly. Music can be a little loud if you're hard of hearing but definitely is not bad. Great place to visit if you're in town

Love this place. One of a couple of go-to spots when I fly in from NJ to visit my son's family. Looking forward to Gia Mia again.

This place is an example of OK food, not great. The host staff leaves a lot to be desired. I went there the other day, and I was mistreated by the host staff, ignoring me and seating a table of five before they set my group when I was there first. They weren’t my first choice to go to, although we thought we would give it a try.. Glad we left. I’ll never go back here even though I walk past there daily.

I found a restaurant that I love and am completely obsessed with! Just not the Gia Mia’s in WheatonToday my kids were off school so my girlfriend and I decided to go to GIA MIA’s again with all our kids but this time decided to try out to the Wheaton location. I was really excited to go to this one as my husband and I used to live in Wheaton and also previously owned a restaurant in the area.GIA MIA in Wheaton is located on Hale St. we walked in and were met by two women, one with dark curly hair who appeared annoyed by our presence and both were not very welcoming. We were advised that there would be a 15–20-minute wait and asked if we wanted to put our name on this list. We advised yes and provided our # and also informed them that we can also be split up in 2 tables and there were 7 of us.Please note we did come at lunchtime on Friday afternoon on a day where kids had off of school. The only people in the lobby were us.There were several open 2 tops throughout the restaurant, a full open bar and an open 4 top.We were not able to see if there were any open tables in the back part of the restaurant as it is blocked by a wall partition. We advised we were going to walk around and be back. We walked around town for 15 minutes and came back. Several other customers came in after us and were seated, including several 2 tops and a 4 top. Being formally in the restaurant business I understand that there are fire codes that one has to be cognizant of however 3 of the table that were filled while we were waiting were all adjacent to one another. Finally, after a 30-minute wait were sat, in the back, next to the bathrooms. Our server was friendly but was speaking Spanish to me, why? Was it because my children are of Hispanic decent and adopted? I responded in English. No suggestive selling and when he did give us our drinks, he placed the drinks on the top front of the table as he did not know where any of the drinks went including which adult ordered the glass of wine. When our lunch came it was delivered by someone else and it was auctioned off. What happened to writing out your table like a clock to prevent this from happening? I had not gotten my meal.10 minutes later my server came to check on the table to see how everything was. I advised him that I never received my lunch. 5 mins later it came out. I do come from the rule of thumb that nobody eats until all is served however with hungry kids and my girlfriend just getting out of cancer treatment, I would be remiss not to allow them to eat. When I received my Beet and Farro salad my boys were finishing up their lunch. My salad was not at all what I was hoping for. It was more of a Kale salad drenched in balsamic vinegar lacking in both beet and farro. The server did ask us if we would like to have desert and we said “yes” we would like to look at the menu. The server never came back with the menu. He did however wait on the table 2 tables down from us and chatted with the bartender and then escaped to the front of the house behind the wall partition. When he finally sped passed by our table, I asked him for the check. He responded, “No Dessert”?I informed him I had a 10.00 discount from being a new GIA MIA customer. He informed me it would be a moment as his manager was on the phone. We did tip him 30 percent before the 10.00 discount. The service was fair/ good. We could have done without the pretension at the front. We promptly left and walked to Kilwan’s and spent 95.00 on dessert that would have been spent at your establishment had we been treated properly. We will eat at GIA MIA’s again BUT NEVER IN WHEATON, nor will I every recommend this established to anyone.I hope that this letter will serve its purpose on how not to treat your clientele.

For a $16 Mediterranean salad, the shrimp had no flavor making the salad bland and overpriced. There was nothing Mediterranean about it. Bruno pizza and zucchini fries were good otherwise.

Good service, creative pizza & salads. All delicious. We'll be back to try some of their other food soon.
