Today I visited My Half of the Sky Coffee in Wheaton. I drove about 20 minutes to see this beautiful place because I love exploring different coffee spots. The café was lovely, and my cappuccino was really delicious!
The barista told me that the iced coffee costs only 2 euros, so I ordered one. When I was about to pay, she realized the offer was only from Monday to Thursday — and today was Friday. She said it was her mistake and that I didn’t need to pay extra since she had already mentioned the lower price. I really appreciated her honesty and kindness.
However, I didn’t like the iced coffee with coconut milk and asked if she could make me a black one instead. She said I’d have to pay again, which made me a bit sad. It’s just a simple filter coffee, and I even felt a little shy asking.
In the future, I want to have my own coffee shop, and I’ll make sure every customer leaves happy. Still, overall it was a nice experience, and the place itself was beautiful.😊

Good but you will pay NINE DOLLARS for a medium matcha. Absolutely not worth the price. It’s sad

I've been stopping in once a week since August (2024). Truly an awesome place, with a friendly atmosphere, great coffee, and incredibly nice staff. Long past time that I left a review, definitely come on in and give them a try!
Edited 9/02/25: Still awesome! The baristas have a great sense of humor, especially when it comes to me asking them for the most amount of whipped cream legally possible!

While waiting in line, as I approached the counter, I saw a cloud of flies lift off from the Apple Cider Donuts I had come there to buy one of. So, I bailed.
Pro tip: it is good to cover the food that you serve to your customers.

The coffee spot was great—everything from the atmosphere to the setup made it easy to settle in and get focused. This is definitely an ideal area to study, journal, or reflect quietly with a good drink in hand. I love that there’s an app where you can order ahead and pick up—it makes everything so smooth and low-stress. The place feels really cozy and welcoming

My Half of the Sky – Wheaton, IL
What a hidden gem! I stopped by My Half of the Sky in Wheaton and absolutely loved the cozy vibe and mission-driven atmosphere. I ordered a latte and it was perfectly made—smooth, rich, and just the right balance of espresso and almond milk. You can tell they care about quality and community here.
It's more than just a coffee shop—it's a place that feels warm, welcoming, and purposeful. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Usually we make it a special trip to come here as we enjoy the best drinks in the area. Typically the service is great and welcoming but today our cashier, (she had a thicker accent) came off rude and unhappy when we asked to put in our phone number. We were overall very surprised with her attitude as it is not the one we usual one we receive at this place.

Unfortunately their matcha, chai teas, and other lattes all contain traces of DAIRY in the power mix. Yes, you can order them with DF milk but they are not 100% allergen free. Overall it’s a very cute cafe, i just wish they advertised the allergen better.
A great place to chillllll...👍😎

This is such an adorable coffee shop! I love the iced lavender lattes and the grilled cheese is so good!!
I’ve visited this coffee shop several times since moving to the area and unfortunately had a less than stellar experience one too many times. I’d much prefer to support a local small business than one of the big chains, but this one needs to make some improvements before I’d consider returning.
Located in what seems to be a historic home, the space offers beautiful natural light, a cute shop with ethically-made products, and ample seating, but the facilities are in desperate need of restoration. The back stairs are literally caving in, and the restroom could be cleaner.
They have an extensive coffee menu with many delicious specialty drinks, but the food is very mediocre.
While the baristas are generally welcoming and friendly, the service is often slow. At my last visit, I placed a mobile order and waited more than 40 minutes for my order to be ready. I had to ask about the status of my order twice. When the drinks were finally delivered, the hot drink was room temperature. The staff was apologetic, but given that this was not the first time I’ve had a longer wait there, it feels like more of a pattern than a one-off experience.
