Great coffee, less than great attitude.

I ordered a pumpkin spice latte and they gave it to me with coconut milk when I didn’t ask for that, did not like it at all and the donut wasn’t good either, it was $4 for basically a munchkin.

Vey nice atmosphere, however you need to pay rent to use a public space to study? I ordered an iced churro latte, which was alright but way too sweet and had a solid half inch of syrup sitting in the bottom of the cup. Service was good.

I really like this shop and what they stand for makes it that much better. The coffee was great but I didn't get latte art on my hot latte, which I was a little sad about because I think that's what makes specialty coffee shops special aside from just their coffee beans. But the vanilla lavender latte was good, wasn't overly sweet, which I like, so you can still taste the coffee. I will definitely try just their espresso next time to really see the quality of coffee they have to offer. As far as food goes, I had the egg and cheese empanada, and you get exactly that. It wasn't horrible, but I wish it had some sort of seasoning on there at least some black pepper because it was very bland or even add some bell peppers or spinach or something. But it was overall a cute shop and the staff was very friendly. I will be coming back to try out their pastries and study because they have a great space for that, along with rooms that you can rent out and use to work.

I loveeee the coffee shop. I always get the iced horchata or iced churro latte and I’m never disappointed. Food is only ok to me! My husband did not enjoy their pumpkin spice but always likes their cold brew.

Such a cute coffee shop to visit. The coffee has great flavor, the food is delicious, and the staff friendly. There's plenty of space both inside and out for a nice crowd without feeling too crowded. Will visit again!

Walk past STARBUCKS and find your way to this local gem. They have a nice fashion boutique in the front and study rooms in the back, as well as outdoor seating. They serve great tea, espresso drinks, and delicious baked goods, but more importantly, go there to support their mission statement of "eradicating poverty while providing hope to survivors of human trafficking, homelessness, addictions or extreme poverty, locally and globally." Check out their website for more info on all the causes they support.
All this just from a perfect latte and a gourmet grilled cheese. Enjoy it today, and know you're helping someone.

Parking: There is free street parking in the front and a parking lot in the back.

I love this coffee shop my friend is the one who took me here . I have tried iced salted caramel and churro latte and both I like a lot . I love the salted butter donuts and recently i tried apple cider donuts and I love it . I just wish it wasn’t 1 hour 17 minutes from me . I wish there were more locations near Skokie . I love this place so much

I’ve been coming back to this spot biweekly for the past year since I discovered this place. Their flavored lattes (both hot and iced) are to die for - especially the churro, salted caramel, and lavender vanilla. For a snack, I enjoy the mini salted brown butter doughnuts. Their cucumber watermelon mint and mango peach refreshers are also delicious and a caffeine free option. I also love the fact they support such good causes to benefit needy communities. The ambiance is so cozy and has 2 floors that are great to use - the first for socializing and the second for studying. I’ve had many encounters of awesome customer service here as well. My only complaint is I ask for light ice, and they charge extra for light ice. Despite this, I still get at least half a cup of ice… Besides this critique, My Half of the Sky is hands down my favorite coffee shop ever. It’s honestly a hidden gem ??.

We were visiting family in Wheaton from out of town and as a family that loves visiting coffee shops, this is one of our favorites. We loved sitting outside and relaxing with one of their smoothies or coffees.
