Found this gem after we moved to Wheaton from Texas. We order for lunch/dinner at least 2X per week and it’s always consistent, delicious and great quality. Service is always great. Recommend the gyro; it’s huge and super tasty!

Best Italian beef I've ever had. It doesn't have the vibes of a high end restaurant but it does have the comforting nostalgia of every great Chicago area beef joint. I just moved back to the area after many years and their Italian beef was one of the things I missed the most.

Food was amazing. I had an Italian beef and it was delicious. The meat was so tender and very well seasoned. I purchased 2 beefs and my fiancé got a gyros well done that I tried and was very tasty as well. She never finishes her food because she eats like a bird, but she was very impressed and finished her whole meal. I was telling the manger how good their food was and they blessed my fiancé and me with baklava pastries. Good family owned restaurant. Don’t mind commuting 45 mins to come here due to such a great experience with food and hospitality.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First time at Poor Boy Subs — and we’ll definitely be back! I got the gyro and my husband had the Chicago dog, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. But what really stood out was how extraordinarily nice everyone was — truly some of the friendliest people we’ve met anywhere. Great food, great service, great vibes!
