Great food! The only place to get real bagels in the western suburbs. Those round things you have been eating with a hole in the middle from all the other local places aren't bagels, just bagel shaped bread. The service could be better, but I know it's hard to staff at the moment. I recommend a pre-order online.

Had the Sloppy Paul with the pastrami. OMG. The ladke's were good and I purchased a qt. of the matzo ball soup for my daughter. I've received 2 texts from her thanking me. It was our 1st time there, but not the last time. My kid also loved their bagels.

This ain't the Schmaltz I remember. Don't waste your time. Pulled the corn beef out of a bag, dipped it into boiling water to heat it up, and put it onto the bread. Express is right..... NO parking of any kind. Who picked this location?. And the help was no help at all. Won't go back. Gonna,miss it..

‘Stopped into a deli for a tuna sandwich on a Friday during Lent…pretty basic. Well, they were out of tuna. So I ordered the lox and bagels. They were out of that, too. So I asked well what do you have…it’s Friday. The only vegetarian option they had was ladkes. So I said well I’ll have that. While I waited for my order, I listened to the boss being rude to his employees. ‘Paid too much for what I got, and tasted it for the rest of the afternoon. The reason, by the way for being out of tuna, is that they had been celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Well, isn’t that a reason for being out of corned beef? I have to believe that I’m not the only Catholic in Wheaton, and I have to believe that folks in the restaurant business know that Catholics don’t eat meat on Fridays. If you’re walking in downtown Wheaton and are going by this place, just keep walking and skip a meal. You’ll be a lot better off.

Prices dramatically increased and the overstuffed sandwiches were UNDERSTUFFED for sure. Skip the potato salad because it is less than a child's portion in size. Used to eat/order from here frequently. Will never order from here again. ?

Bought bagels in at the Naperville Location and they were always good. The bagels from this location were old, mushy and tasteless. What's up? Not coming back....

One , the whole decor is kind of hokey, artificial... Two, my wife was asked what she might want, and as she was saying 'I think I'd like to try...' she was cutoff by the cashier who started barking at the guy who couldn't figure out which decanter was coffee... Third, and most important -- Nearly $50 for two lunches and both the corned beef and the pastrami lacked flavor, to such an extent, I wasn't convinced it was just cheap ham. The soups also were barely average. This is not an exaggeration. We both sat there and said 'we should have just driven into the city for Manny's. The meats reminded me of something out of a blister pack at the store. I'm sorry

My second time here. Inconsistent. The first time I ordered scmaltz breakfast sandwich and the egg was over easy which I prefer. Second time coming and they scrambled all ingredients together. Chili is mediocre and shouldn’t really be called chili
Schmaltz deli is the best! I moved here about 2 years ago looking for a place to enjoy a corned beef sandwich! Oh man did this place blow my mind. Not only was the corned beef sandwich delicious but they have endless yummy options. The staff is super friendly and always gives great recommendations. This deli makes me feel at home and I always love how much they do for the community. Love Schmaltz and excited for the new location as well in Lisle. I love when anyone visits because it gives me an excuse to take them to Schmaltz for lunch!

Just moved to the area in 2021 & tried them for the first time before New Years. Ordered online which was super easy. Both employees were very kind as I had no idea what the pick up process was lol. I got the turkey sandwich on a pretzel bagel & it was so good! Not to mention perfect pickles on the side. I planned to save half for the next day but that wasn't happening. I'll be back very soon!

Second visit. Received a generous birthday credit for setting up an account. Tried to place a phone order, was put on hold. Lost the connection after 7 minutes. Walked in to place the take out lunch order. Friendly greeting. Order put together quickly. Great Chicago style hot dogs. Surprisingly mediocre chicken noodle soup. Latkes were okay.
