Won't be going back here. Lights are too bright during the movie, during dark scenes you can barely see anything on screen. Servers don't know how to whisper. They charge an extra fee to buy tickets online on their own website.
Update. Forgot I wasn't going to go back here. Lights seem a little better. Servers still don't know how to whisper. They also don't automatically give the food promo discount unless you ask them to fix it after they bring the check even if you mention it while ordering.
went to see two separate movies, asked in advance for closed captioning devices both times. first time, device did not work and i asked an employee for help— had to ask a second time 20 minutes later and device was never fixed. second time, device never worked and didn’t bother to request help. highly inaccessible.
The movie was supposed to start 25 minutes ago. We don’t even have previews. The took our food orders and our money. Nobody can tell us what’s up…we have heard “soon” 3 times in a theater full of little kids on a Friday night. The chairs are are least comfy.
Movies and food at the movies are great. Avoid the bar. Drinks are pricey and bartenders are substandard. Instead, go next door to Sushi Ukai for sake and then go to the movies.
This is the worst movie theater ever first of a large popcorn is literally a small popcorn from a different movie theater second of you get a large popcorn that is 9.50 that is cheaper in a different movie theater third of you have to give the waiter at 18% tip and the seats reclines is mid
very good place
My daughter went there with a friend and ordered a soda and popcorn. She paid cash and they never gave her cash back. If they already charge an automatic service fee, then this server took at least a 40 to 58% tip without returning any change.
SMG used to be such an amazing place to dine and see a movie but now it’s a subpar experience at best. The theaters are unkempt, dirty bathrooms and incredibly slow service. The lastest development is they no longer turn the lights off during the movie because it poses a safety hazard to the servers. And while I understand this, it ruins the viewing experience having to watch a movie in a fully lit theater. Sadly this is no longer the exciting family night destination it used to be.
I typically love coming here but tonight the smell in the lobby was disgusting like sewer mixed with bleach. Definitely not conducive to a dining experience. I personally won’t be going back until that gets sorted.
It was alright! The service was not that great. I got my pizza late and I never got my fries. The movie was horrible.

Food was excellent but prices were way to high based on portion size. Service was excellent. Staff were welcoming
Friendly staff, clean, and very efficient.
Came here for the first time last night (Sunday) to watch Sonic 3’s 9:30p showing. The lobby area is very nice looking and gives off a “high end dine-in theatre” atmosphere, but this is really where the positivity ends for me.
My family of 3 were the only ppl watching this showing, n when we first got into the theatre, I noticed that a lot of the tables and cup holders weren’t clean - liquids sitting at the bottom of the cup holders and crumbs on the tables. We literally walked past 3 high school looking kids standing around on their phones doing nothing.
Once we were ready to order our food, I pushed the service button on the table and a few minutes later, our server came to get our order. They charge an automatic 18% gratuity but our server certainly didn’t deserve that. I say this as someone who worked as a server and bartender for 15+ years and normally tips 20%.
He took our order but never came to do a 2-minute checkup; no one ever asked us if we needed anything else when the food was being dropped off, and not 1 plate or empty cup was removed from our tables. These r basic service steps, and again, we were the only 3 ppl in the room!
The food was meh and overcooked.
Overall, my 1st experience was not great and I’ll continue my search of a “high end dine-in theatre” because Studio Movie Grill didn’t do it.
We waited an hour for soda. Asked four different people so the movie was interrupted four times. They brought out food. But no drinks or popcorn. The lobby smelled like vomit. It was not a good Christmas experience. They also add a service charge to each check. The servers do not care because they are already being tipped.
YES 5 Their staffers are our young adults and they are very good food is good haven't tried all menu items yet SEATS are Excellent market pricing for similar venues, Love the service buttons too
