Picked up for carry-out recently. The online ordering was a bit of a mess, interface could use some refining…there were seemingly endless options. However, the food was delicious. The fatty tuna and fatty salmon were exceptional! I was especially appreciative of how the staff labeled what was gluten-free and what was not on the to-go containers. Would definitely return if I’m in the area again.

My wife and I had a lovely time at Sushi Ukai. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box, which was a lot of food, and very good, and a fair price. We will absolutely come back. The quiet jazz was also a really nice touch, not too loud.

Had really enjoyed this place and we were really excited to be regulars here as we live nearby. Until we were on a walk and saw the back door to the kitchen just held open, while there were open bowls of rice and other food sitting out uncovered to the elements and various insects that were flying around.

Edit: The owner had replied with a message that I did not get to fully see as it is no longer there.

I like this place. No frills interior but the fish is fresh and definitely the best deal going for fatty tuna when they have it. Service could be better but overall, a great spot to grab a quick lunch or dinner with the kids.

Liked this location a bit better than its sister location in downtown Glen Ellyn. Quiet, low-key, and casual atmosphere. Great for small groups, couples, and friends getting together for lunch or early dinner. Service was excellent and friendly. The sake selection was great, and the sushi, nigiri, and miso soup were delicious!

First timers. Really, really enjoyed it. The sushi rolls were top-notch, as was our service from Ting. Quaint. Cozy. We’ll most certainly return.
