It was a great spot for a valentine's lunch, they decorated the space wonderfully and had free soap flowers and mini heart balloons. Definitely going to come back, food was delicious ( especially the takoyaki!)

Great first experience. Had a couple rolls that were well made and a fair price. Edamame was salted throughout, not just on top. Nigiri escolar was very good.

Definitely coming back!

I came here today for the first time, and honestly, everything started off great. The ambiance was nice and quiet, the food was delicious, and while my server’s skills were a bit mediocre, the overall experience seemed good at first. Unfortunately, about an hour after eating, I began having stomach pains that turned into diarrhea and a constant urge to throw up. I usually love Sushi Ukai (my go-to location is the one in Glen Ellyn) and I’ll probably stick with that location from now on. Such a bummer. :(

Delicious! I’d have to say, this is my new favorite sushi joint in the area. Beautiful plating, excellent cuts, FRESH….and we went on a Wednesday!

For the price, very disappointing. Firstly, the server never brought our drinks. The head waitress said it wasn't on the order, and didn't apologize. Then they didn't get one side item correct when I specifically ordered it,(I noticed the waiter didn't write anything down) and of course they take my plate back, with tempura on it too to get me the correct side dish, and I told the head waiter I don't want cold tempura, so of course it came back cold. 100% disappointing and not worth a spending cent there. The sad thing is we were celebrating our anniversary.

Fantastic sushi, we ordered the Angry crab roll and the fatty salmon as Sashimi. The appetizer’s also hit the mark, best crab Rangoon I’ve had! Truly an authentic experience of Japanese cuisine.

Picked up for carry-out recently. The online ordering was a bit of a mess, interface could use some refining…there were seemingly endless options. However, the food was delicious. The fatty tuna and fatty salmon were exceptional! I was especially appreciative of how the staff labeled what was gluten-free and what was not on the to-go containers. Would definitely return if I’m in the area again.

My wife and I had a lovely time at Sushi Ukai. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box, which was a lot of food, and very good, and a fair price. We will absolutely come back. The quiet jazz was also a really nice touch, not too loud.
