Fresh fish, fresh taste. Enjoyed Dinner.
PRO
- wide fresh selection of seafood
- nice selection of meats and cuts
- I split a meal with one of my girlfriends, and they brought it to us already split on two separate plates.
- large family style portions
- wait staff was so patient and answering all of our questions, putting up with our bantering, and was a lovely individual
- had small and large party tables,
Has own parking lot
CONS
- portions are large, and the price matches it. TheIr are really few individual plates.... It all adds up quickly.

Very good food and fresh seafood. We love their squid ink pasta. It's definitely on the pricier side, however they serve very large portions

I was really looking forward to coming here as I was born and raised in Boston and it has been hard to find good seafood in Illinois. I love that they have the fish market when you enter and you get an idea of the portions you will receive when you sit down. The portions are large and very expensive. I ordered the Shrimp and Scallops combo and the shrimp were tough and a tiny bit overcooked but the Scallops were perfect. The meal came with rice and vegetables and arrived at the table cold. At least when it came to my meal I do feel it was a bit overpriced for what I got. My husband got the Hawaiian Seabass which was perfect. I almost wish I ordered what he got. My brother got a fried plate and I only tried his Scallops but they very absolutely perfect. I also ordered the clam chowder which I didn't care for and I did send it back. It just didn't taste like any Boston clam chowder that I grew up on. The drinks were also good. The spicy margarita was very tasty. Overall a good meal.

Irina was fantastic! Professional yet friendly and comedic. She was very accommodating with our requests and even sang Happy Birthday in Romanian to our 60th birthday celebrant. The food was delicious and came out warm. Good portions too.
Always a good meal, good service at Boston fish market in Wheeling. Never have an issue with anything they do there
It's rare I give a 5 star but this place earns it. Food is amazing and in very good portions. Service was excellent

To say that the seafood is fresh is an understatement! This was our first time dining at the Wheeling location. We have previously dined at the Des Plaines location and neither one disappoints. The first time I had Branzino and my husband had Salmon. This time I had the New England Barramundi and my husband had Red Snapper. EVERYTHING both times was EXCELLENT! Our server (I think her name was Stephanie- she was multilingual) was super friendly and quite attentive, as we had a party of 10 and although an easy group, it was still alot to make sure the orders were correct and that we were all pleased...and she did that well. I did notice that the Wheeling location was a different vibe. It was more of the dressy, date night atmosphere we were looking for and the Des Plaines location was a bit more casual. So whatever you're feeling, please know that the food is just as DELICIOUS at both locations. As an added bonus, there is a market INSIDE of the restaurant to purchase FRESH, DELICIOUS seafood that you can prepare at home. SCORE!

Came yesterday around 3:45pm. We were sat in the bar area. Food was incredibly fresh and their portion size was excellent. Spicy margarita was also delicious! We got the baked clams and fried fish platter. The quality of the food is worth the price. The only thing I will say is that there was a lot of noticeable tension amongst the staff. I have worked in restaurants in the past so I understand that it can be stressful so I am not judging, but it was very obvious as a customer. I will be back to try some new things!
The food and the service were awesome! The portions are huge and cooked perfectly. We were seated promptly and we were allowed time to relax and were not rushed. We will be going back.
Food was good, but it turns me off when it is "auctioned" at the table, meaning that the person delivering the food has no idea who gets it so they call it to the first bidder. I expect that at a diner, not a higher end restaurant. You can do better.
Huge portions! My wife had the Cajun mahi mahi and I went with the Walleye. We brought the leftovers home and had dinner the next night with the leftovers. Our server Maya was a delight. She was friendly, courteous, and attentive. We could not have asked for a nicer evening. A good wine selection.
Been there many times, as a matter of fact I go to the DesPlaines one more. It was my date's birthday and never had raw oysters. Ordered crab cakes also. She tried and loved the Northern oysters that we ordered a second half dozen. Ordered a good bottle of Malbec from Argentina. Our main was a cowboy ribeye. This was the disappointing part. 3/4 inch thick. (Was there for my birthday and it was 1 3/4 to 2 inches thick). Called the waitress to convey my disappointment. To me, I go order a steak at those prices it better be one I cannot buy at the grocery store. Was is it with restaurants? Gibson did the same thing for 119.00. Other than that, great place and will go back but not for a steak.
