One of the worst experiences of dining The wheeling location's food was a disaster, the service is rushed not comfortable to be around, noisy cleaning around, etc What a shame
I took my family here for my birthday. I have been here several times and have enjoyed my meal each and every time. My experience has been very consistent. The service is solid despite the restaurant being extremely busy. The fish is excellent and well cooked. The Tuna was seared perfectly. The salmon Florentine was delicious and well cooked. Flavor wise the split bronzino was incredible with a fantastic sauce. My complaint there is that they did not debone and trim the fish properly which led to some inedible bits. With a fish that is coated, it is hard to tell which bits are a problem. The Greek salad was good though I question the inclusion of some of the ingredients. The sides were OK. Lots and lots of OK. I have said with them in the past, they probably should work on quality vs. quantity. The question of value comes up with BFM and I must say the value is their. Their prices are consistent with that of a high end steak house. The difference is, their fish is prepared much more skillfully and the portion is 2-3X the size of fish at a steakhouse. The birthday tiramisu was excellent. We will absolutely be going back.
The Des Plaines location is much better.

The fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Portions are large make sure to share so you save room for dessert. The seven layer carrot cake is a must.
Over priced. Unnecessarily large portions. Lunch sandwich options were fried perch and soft shelled crab. Both over cooked. Pretzel rolls were toasted to almost black on top bun. I won't go back.
A lot of food. You definitely get what you pay for. Expensive but a lot of leftovers

Service was not good. Appetizers were not served at the same time, had to wait an extraordinary amount of time for the main course and they were not served at the same time (party of six). The food quality was good but very costly. They need more help.
Not sure whether I would go back or recommend to others.

We love eating outside but the street traffic noise is terrible. They have a wall that blocks the view of traffic. It would be great to put up a barrier on top of the wall, such as plexiglass, and some plants. Then guests can feel like they are in Santorini. The food is delicious.
If you come here and your food is poor expect some interesting excuses. The fried shrimp was very rubbery where I couldn't eat it. So the waitress and manager said it's because it's a large shrimp. Not that it's either overcooked or rancid which is generally the reasons for rubbery shrimp. Also my mother's sea bass had absolutely no taste to it. My scallops were decent so I guess that's good. I would never return here as this place doesn't take any criticism on its food. It's probably why I was able to make a reservation on a Saturday ight last minute.
One of the best restaurants for fish lovers in Chicago!
