This was my second time dining at Moretti’s in Wheeling, and I’m glad I gave it another try. It’s a solid 4.5 experience. We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately on a Friday night (I still made a reservation on OpenTable just in case). Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The menu has a wide variety with something for everyone, and the drinks came exactly as ordered. Hot food served hot, cold drinks served cold. Kudos to bar and kitchen staff!! Job well done.
However, one huge area for improvement: better service needed including more frequent check-ins from servers. Simple things “may I get you anything else? How are your meals? Another drink? Here’s some extra napkins or plates. Any dessert?”
In our section, several guests were kept searching around for assistance. I know serving is a tough job, and those small basics really make a difference. I hope that once I return, the servers = better service to change this to 5-stars.
Overall, a solid dining experience with great food and atmosphere, and I’ll definitely be back.

Finally decided to try Moretti’s and we are glad we did. Hostess were very welcoming and friendly! Servers were nice too, on Friday we were there for lunch, drinks were good, bruschetta as an appetizer was great, warm crispy bread and flavorful diced tomatoes. We were not rushed to order which we appreciated. Sunday went back again to watch the game we sat by the bar and the servers were friendly, order their wings and a Hawaiian pizza it was delicious. Fresh veggies with the wings was a plus. Servers made sure we were well taken care of, definitely coming back, yes might be our new favorite place.

I had a negative experience at the Moratti’s in Wheeling in which a server took my order however it was supposed to be a different server. The new server never introduced herself. The communication was poor. Took 20 minutes to get a cup of soup. Manager came and offered dessert. My order was not communicated The daily salad special I ordered was not what came to the table. Manager came back. I told him I didn’t want the salad and didn’t want dessert . Standard stock messaging. “ so sorry you have negative experience “ we’ll take off the salad. How about we will look in to what went wrong. We wanna make this good. What about a credit just for the salad even though I didn’t pay for it I possibly would’ve ordered something as take out. I live less than 1 mile from the restaurant and will never go back in and would not recommend it to anybody

First time was great! Everything was really good, second time was just ok, last visit we ordered a jumbo margarita, it was served in a water glass and it was terrible. The waitress made the drink, we saw it and seemed like she didn't know what to do. I returned it. Orderd soup and she gave us a teaspoon...didn't ask her for a soup spoon because we all know why. Food was not good. We won't be returning.

They advertise a burger special on Mondays and then charge you $1.50 for BBQ sauce with it. I have never been charged for a condiment for a burger and the manager wouldn’t remove it. Not smart, you just lost 2 people that come every single Monday and the waitress tonight had zero personality. Not busy at all now I understand why.

The other Morretis do a much better job at preparing food. Recently ordered a Pizza n Breadsticks. Pizza was fine, but the breadsticks were hard. Tasted like just Pizza crust with 0 flavor. Very bland and dry. Also was supposed to come with Marinara and Garlic Butter, but I didn't recieve any. Maybe the sauce could've saved the breadsticks. But who knows.

I dined here on November 23. The bill had a surcharge of $2.00 on it. I asked the waiter what the surcharge was for. All it said on the check was surcharge. The waiter said it’s due to the higher costs of food and supplies. I requested them to take the surcharge off ASAP. This is like a COVID surcharge that (Big Bowl in Wheeling adds to your check). Please check your bill when you eat at Moretti’s in Wheeling. They add a surcharge on the bill with no reason or letting you know!

Food was very good and the service was outstanding. Our waitress was excellent. She anticipated all of our needs and we never needed to look for her or flag her down. Manager also came to the table to ask how things were going. Focus on excellent service very evident and on display at our visit.

Came in on a friday night 11/14, while place was busy, they still had open tables. We were seated right away. We were wating for 30 minutes, no server came up to us. Place was definitely well-staffed, plenty of servers going back and forth. When leaving, came up to front desk, and let the person there know that we're leaving and that noone even came to take order for 30 minutes. Just a blank stare in return. While their food is generally good, and having live music is nice, that kind of service is unacceptable.

It was the second time I was there. The service was outstanding! I ordered the stuffed chicken. But when it arrived it was not stuffed . All the ingredients were just layer on top of the chicken. Maybe change the discretion to reflect what is expected. It was good just not what I expected.
