This is a wonderful sub shop. I have had numerous sandwiches here and they are all top notch. My favorite so far is the Rammy's Radical Italian Beef. I went with their suggestion and had it "our way" and it did not disappoint. This could be the best sub style sandwich I have ever had. Their Reuben is also excellent.

A great local sub shop. If you want a comparison, it’s kind of like Pot Bellies but better. It’s a little pricy compared to other places but I don’t mind since it’s locally owned and tastes great! Lots of sub options too. My go to is the California chicken. Try it.

I was hankering for a sub for lunch today. My usual go-to is Jersey Mike's, but for some reason, my location has no roast beef. They say it's due to COVID-19, but seriously every other sub place has it, so that's a load of horse crap. Anyway, they didn't have what I wanted and I thought of Subway, and seriously, if I'm thinking of getting Subway, I might as well just eat it in the bathroom since that's where I'll be the rest of the day.
So I looked on Yelp and found Rammy's Sub Contractors. It had a lot of great reviews and after reviewing the menu, I was thoroughly intrigued. There menu was vast and awesome! However, the true awesomeness did not come until I sank my teeth into their sub. Holy Moly! Awesome doesn't quite do it justice. My wife got The Lien and I got the Ultimate Sawhorse. Just. WOW! They were terrific! This is my go-to place. I erased the apps for the other two places off my phone. I'm never going to them again. This is by far the best place I've been for subs in Chicago. And I've had Tony's Subs in Deerfield, Captain Nemo's and Costello's (which has gone out of business). This is my reigning champ.
So, I walked in to order and the place is large. Lots of seating inside and a makeshift area outside. The staff were great. Very friendly and talkative and helpful. When I asked about my sub (Ultimate Sawhorse) he made a couple suggestions to enhance it and they were spot on. Next time, I'm adding hot peppers. So, so delicious. They have other options like the mac and cheese that sounded good and nachos (which my wife lamented about not seeing until after I left to get the subs). Plus they have shakes. I'm telling ya, if you want an awesome sub and a great staff to make it, look no further than Rammy's.

Wowie... Walked in for my first time and I was welcomed like an old friend. Everything was homemade and fresh. The facility was spotless and the service beyond.... Oh yes, and the sandwich was insane!!! Thank you!!

I always have the Rammy’s Radical Italian Beef. It is one of the best tasting beef’s I have ever had. If they had a footlong option I would definitely get it. The flavors mesh so well that is an explosion of deliciousness with every bite. Staff is always friendly and eager to serve. Love this place.
