We’ve been to Stumara so many times and always enjoyed it, but this visit was absolutely terrible. The staff was unbelievably rude from the moment we arrived. We showed up exactly on time for our reservation, and instead of being greeted politely, we were rushed to sit down and told we needed to order immediately. The servers literally stood over us at the table, pressuring us to make decisions right away — it felt so uncomfortable and unprofessional.

To make things worse, after rushing us through the whole meal, they suddenly said the kitchen was closed and we couldn’t order dessert — even though no one ever mentioned it was last call or that the kitchen was about to close. If they had just communicated that, we would’ve ordered sooner.

For a place we’ve supported and recommended to friends, this was such a disappointing experience. The attitude and lack of basic customer service completely ruined the night. We definitely won’t be coming back after this.

Friendly staff, the dishes were well served and beautifully presented. If you are looking for high-quality Georgian food, I strongly recommend visiting this restaurant.

As a Ukrainian who has been in US for 3 years, this is the first restaurant here that made me feel home and welcomed sincerely! Me and my friend went there for his birthday dinner yesterday, we never tried Georgian food before but heard a lot! Everything, I mean everything is perfect! Very nice lady on the front, same as the Ukrainian waiter made us feel very comfortable. The food - I swear it’s somehow simple, but super tasty! Clean tables, nice decorations, clean bathroom, everything is really different from most of restaurants in Chicago, you can feel this real Caucasian hospitality, we will defiantly come back again even tough it’s more that an hour for us to drive😅 thank y’all for such a great service!

I’m quite picky when it comes to Georgian food and restaurants, and this one was up and above my expectations.

Beautifully balanced Kindzmarauli, tasty Khinkali, unexpectedly good beetroot salad (charkhali tkemalshi), and flavorful profile of the Georgian salad! And all that comes with just exceptional service.
