The pickled tomato was the best! Every bite was scrumptious! Definitely try the shrimp and Chicago dog with all the fixings! It was absolutely delicious, and the staff was pleasant and helpful! Put this place on your bucket list.

We LOVE the hot dogs at Superdawg in Wheeling. However, they are incapable of making crispy french fries. This is not just a one-time experience. It has been since the Wheeling location opened, so it's been going on for years and years. I am ashamed to say that they have won. I'm tired of arguing and having to go back into the restaurant to get a second order of still mushy french fries. Arguing about my concept of crispy vs. the cook's idea spoils the whole dining experience. So, while we love the hot dogs at Superdawg, and we will continue to go there for the hot dogs, their french fries are awful. Worst of all, the order taker, the cooks, and especially the managers don't care.
French fries were so greasy, mushy, and soggy I couldn’t even eat them. Gross. Dogs were average at best. Staff not overly friendly or welcoming.

I grew up on Super dawg and had to visit on my Chicagoland visit. I was staying closer to the Wheeling location in the Northwest suburbs. They have a true Chicago dog, with neon green relish, sport peppers and poopy seed bun. It was a treat to also find a pickled green tomato.
On the downside, hot dogs seemed smaller and definitely less crinkle fries, in. A smaller box. Perhaps next time I will order just the hot dog and a side of fries as a better value and more fries. They have more food options available for those that aren't into hot dogs. A nostalgic place to visit.
Parking: Plenty of parking at Wheeling location. Limited at Chicago/original location.
