Dairy Queen (Treat)

I understand that the workers are teenagers but they seem bothered every time I have come here. I try to refrain from coming to this location simply due to the fact that said teenagers are not friendly and borderline rude but due to the convenience of the location, a friend and I decided to give it another chance yesterday evening (June 3rd).

The young man taking my order was very short/ not welcoming and I had asked for an extra scoop of cookie dough (which was 79¢) since they never put enough in the past. I got my blizzard and was not thanked by the young girl— not surprising.
The amount of cookie dough was the same as I’ve previously received at this location so the extra charge was essentially for nothing.

When my friend put in their order, the three people behind us received their orders and the workers had to be reminded of her blizzard which was just sitting behind the counter.

The whole thing is honestly laughable at this point but we will not be coming here again. The one in Woodridge on 75th is always great and the owner/manager is very friendly!

This place is so horrible. Customer service is so incompetent and the people whom work there are racist. Because we are of different color you have to be so rude. You guys should be ashamed of yourself. Although there is a petite young girl whom is the sweetest person around smiles and is so courteous. She shouldn't be working with these clowns. You deserve more. I wish I would have gotten her name. But I'm sure we all know whom were talking about. There is a thin tall guy and I think he put something in our ice cream because my daughter and I were so sick all night long. You guys need to get rid of him. Best DQ is in Westmont on Cass ave.

No butterscotch topping will not return until it returns. At least let the store have the option to carry it. Other ice-cream shops in the area.

This Dairy Queen is a pretty standard location. It has no interior seating and it’s a few benches outside. The staff were nice and our blizzards came out quickly.

My kids and I decided a soft-serve Dairy Queen cone was a perfect treat for the day. We typically go to the Dairy Queen in Orland which is always so thick and creamy and delicious but we happened to be near the Darien location. We were very very disappointed. Had I had a blind taste test I never would have guessed the soft-serve was DQ. McDonald’s tastes better than this location. The soft-serve is very icy and loose, not thick and creamy which DQ is famous for. In addition, we ordered a small cone with a coating on it. They only dipped it 1x when the standard is 3x. I wanted to return them but my kids decided to eat them anyway. With as much money they charge I would expect each DQ to uphold the same quality and consistency as expected by the DQ corporation/recipe. I am saddened that this location is cutting corners which is unfair to the customer and the community they serve. We will not be visiting this location again and have reported them to the corporate office.

Tonight my husband and I visited this location approximately 8:40. We ordered two oreo blizzards. After preparing our order, the young man turn them upside down as usual. When he passed them to me I asked where are the Oreos? The lady stepped around to tell me the Oreos were blended in with the ice cream. I didn’t argue with her. I took her at her word!!!I began to eat the ice cream only to discover she lied! She gave both my husband and I the crumbs at the bottom of the barrel!!! Attached is the evidence!!!Another disappointment!!!

This place use to serve great ice cream. The blizzard cups are not full, as shown in display pictures. The shake I ordered was watery.

The workers seemed like they hated their lives and one of them was wearing a Sunday funday shirt on a Saturday. Womp womp womp
