Madisons Pub & Grill is a solid casual place for pub staples, good food, friendly service, and generous portions. It shines when you go knowing what to order (some standouts are burgers, meatloaf, fish tacos) and when your expectations are aligned (not fine dining, but good value and comfort).

My favorite place in the area. We always come after a bike ride at Palos trails. The food is excellent - unique and tasty. But my favorite part is an amazing certer piece wooden table - I have to touch it and follow the winding wooden rim every time I walk by.

My wife and I went to Madison’s while visiting Burr Ridge. We saw the reviews and menu and we were excited to try it out.
I should preface my review by stating that I am a wheelchair user. That fact is pertinent because the dining room at Madison’s is on the 2nd floor. There is a small elevator when entering the accessible entrance in front of the restaurant. We were surprised at this as it’s not stated anywhere on their website.
We decided to stay and use the elevator to access the dining room. When the elevator got to the 2nd floor, the door wouldn’t open. The staff scrambled to figure out how to get the elevator door open while we suffered inside due to no airflow. Had either of us been claustrophobic, we would’ve had a breakdown in the very small elevator.
After 10 minutes or so, a man whom I can only assume is the owner, came and asked us if we had touched any buttons inside the elevator, which we hadn’t. He then asked us to go back down the elevator and get off. He brought the empty elevator back up and opened the door without an issue. He then allowed us to get back on and go up. The door opened and we were able to get off as the gentleman apologized.
We had some wonderful food. A Cuban sandwich and my wife ordered the Bayou shrimp pasta. Both were hot, fresh, and tasty.
When the bill came, we thought perhaps we would be at least offered a free dessert for the ordeal with the elevator. We were not. That was disappointing.
As a wheelchair user, you want to be able to go out to eat with your spouse and be able to forget that you’re different from everyone else. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case at Madison’s.
